Fun fact: This card used to be power 7 in the early version and it was absolutely crazy.

It also used to copy Tough which gave some weird situations (what happens if you are exhausted and lose tough?) which we got rid of for now. A really fun and diffetent card for me.

Wow! A 7-powered Mummypus is crazy haha. And yeah makes total sense why it can’t copy Tough

The ability just used to be “copies all keywords from enemy creatures”

#

So a bit sad that it became so wordy, but probably for the best

#

It was suggested by Skaff also to ensure future compability if we introduce a keyword you can’t really copy

I love this creature so much! It’s useful in a ton of situations. I feel it’s most potent when the opponent has a creature with Sneaky, since Mummypus will always be a higher power than any Sneaky they have.

It can also get some really cool combination of keywords, like Hunter and Poisonous, or Sneaky and Frenzy.

It’s also super cool that it kind of self-balances. For example, if your Mummypus has Sneaky and attacks and defeats the opponent’s Sneaky creature, it no longer has Sneaky!

An absolutely destructive combination is Elephantopus and Mummypus if the opponent has a creature with Sneaky. The opponent will be unable to block your Sneaky attacks!

Yeah it is not really something we would ever have thought of either, but Skaff and Richards many years in the industry show here 🙂

I played this card wrong for the first few rounds. Thought it copied tough 😅

In any case it's a good card offensively and defensively 🙂

It is a good boy when paired with elephantopus

I discovered an interesting thing with this card. If you have this card on the opposite sides of the board, and one of them gains any of frenzy, sneaky, hunter, poisonous... then the other one gains it too, and then it persists forever even if the source dies. That is so cool haha

Yes you have reached the depths of weird Mindbug interactions :p cannot normally happen as there is only one copy of this card in first contact
