brotha they slowing shots down for no reason the shooting is worst than 2k25, my fade middys are going slow motion and any build under 6'8 are getting heavily contested even though its obvoulsy a open, if i shoot behind someone that shouldnt count as a contest in any regards

this patch ruined this game all they had to do was stop the fades from being hit so often or add rng to them to scare them for doing it every possesion idc how they do it but slowing down the game and just literally making it a 2k25 copy and paste is insane, we legit paid 60 for the game and 100 each build for higher fps

They made defense incredibly bad and kept shooting RnG but increased the percentages now (max make percentage was around 55% according 2klabs last year, now it’s around 80). They did this to make the casual majority feel like they’re much better at the game than they would usually be. The majority don’t base their skill level on their defense, they do it based on how many points they can score.

That’s why people (including myself) are complaining that sometimes their shot feels completely different. Cause RnG needs to cut you down to your max percentage based off your attribute rating. Also, you all gotta remember that the large majority of the feedback that the Devs act on, comes from YouTubers (mostly guards). The majority of them are not lockdowns, and the majority are not bigs. So when they make changes, it’s always to cater to smaller builds that just want to left right spam behind a screen to shoot a 3. If they (the Devs) actually read our posts and complaints, the game would be very different.

Bigs were noticeably faster in the first week of the game, they nerfed that (without publicly acknowledging it. Everyone knows they slowed it down crazy in the beginning). They’ve done so much to make bigs worse and so much to make small guards better. Sometimes bigs should be able to dribble a bit, sometimes bigs can be pretty dang fast (KD 7’0”, Wemby 7’5”, Chet 7’1”). There’s is a reason the average height in NBA has been increasing

The reason why is because the community can’t adjust. They’ll complain that they keep losing the ball. This why they need to revert this dribbling patch. People shouldn’t be rewarded for dribbling into a defender and not lose the ball.

Get 2 fouls right when the game starts, coach subs you out for the rest of the 1st quarter. Ball out in the 2nd and 3rd, if you get enough of a lead you can ask out with VC right at the start of the 4th.

Im not sure if my suggestion got through so Im posting it again here:

Tuning needs to be fixed for various things.
Firstly, ball handling and passing in the paint is awful. For whatever reason, no one can hold onto the ball once they're in the paint and every pass gets intercepted. It is very noticable and obvious. I'm not sure what this tuning was trying to correct, but it is awful. Like, it's not even dribbling and it gets poked free. You can be standing completely still with 99 strength and ball handling and you will still get the ball taken from you with someone with 25 steal. Second, the AI is beyond broken. Tune down the interceptor capabilities of AI. They get way too many lane steals. Increase AI's on ball defense IQ in tripple threat. The AI refuses to put its hand up or get close to a player in tripple threat position. This in turn makes rec games with an AI boil down to how many times one team can shoot over the AI. The AI makes no defensive adjustments for tendencies either. I get shooting over a player once or twice if the AI is trying to defend a drive, but after that it should know if someone is just trying to shoot over them and play closer.

@regal thicket @left tangle this game is dying for the casual player because of “meta”. Because I’m purple plate, I can’t even play with my RL friends without it being a miserable experience. Every team with purples has 1-2 players with 99 perim, 95+ steal. PGs with 99 3, 95 BH, and dunk. Centers with 96+ rebound, 95+ strength. Meanwhile the casual players make “all around builds” with barely any, most of the time 0 attributes above 90. It’s an absolutely miserable experience playing vs meta with non-meta. You need to somehow make a non-meta mode for more casual players. The only place to play non-meta is unfortunately random theater or random rec, so I can’t even play with my real life friends and have fun on this game.
