they changed it so that you only have to hit X/Square in the "non-competitive" game modes (so Stage, Pro-Am, and Proving Grounds, you still have to hit any one of the 4 face buttons)

I felt the random button was easy to hit, but it was enough of a deterrent for people to not spam lobs. Poster take auto-lobs are a good buff to anyone who'd struggle to hit the right button.

Yeah the random button wasn't hard to hit, I really never felt like it was a problem. But it did cause people to throw lobs less, which was a little frustrating because I feel like lobs already get interrupted so often, it didn't feel like it made sense to make it more of a challenge for casuals

I'd try to hit 73 strength for the next tier of strong handles if you're planning to keep your ball handling that high. I'd try to hit 60 on a rebounding stat, might be cheaper to go offensive rebound instead of defensive. If you get 2 more mid-range, you'll have sharp take as an option. Not a fan of that low pass acc, I'd try to get 71 as a minimum and run Austin Reaves pass style.

Overall you're definitely trying to do too much with capbreakers. Start small and plan for 10 cap breakers with anything after being "nice to haves".

You can sacrifice steal and plan that to be 85, you can hawk lanes with an 85 steal. May be able to sacrifice a little dunk or 3 pt too. 78 3pt as your baseline. 87 to 89 total dunk. Your lock doesn't need to be an elite contact dunk slasher.

You can drop speed with ball some and put speed with ball on your takeover, you can +15 if you do only that.

These are all ways you can save points to get what you need.

Pluck steals are non-existent in this game. Really only need steal for interceptor. Your on ball steals will come from bumps and blitzes which aren't super dependent on your steal rating.

I don't think so. I don't think you need int D past your level of paint patroller. Would be better going 84 int D and 97+ block. Rebounding at 99 isn't super necessary. You can snag with 92-96 and badge maxes. Plus your an offensive liability with no 3 ball. Switch those things around I said and you can probably put 5 caps into 3 ball to get a respectable jumper.

My opinion is that 25 with 24's pure green window, and full character control with this years cap breaker system would've been a perfect game. If they kept RNG, just remove the damn slingshot. It's STILL very much a thing in 26. It's what forced you into shooting slumps and stuff on 25.

RNG Speed Shooting animations are perfectly fine as you don't rely on pure timing, but complete visual cue. THATS a skill gap.
