Pull up 3s are incredibly common with screens being set well above the 3 point line and if the big is playing drop, that front fade/pull up 3 is automatic for players like Dame, Steph, Tatum, KD, etc etc

Layups need to be rebalanced. I’ve got a strong layup rating and consistently beat my defender, but my green window is practically nonexistent. I specialize in scoop layups—2K24 nailed the timing and efficiency for that style. This year, though, it feels like even with a versatile inside scorer, I’m being funneled into block animations way too often.

Interior defense also needs a serious overhaul. I run a shooting guard with 88 interior and 92 perimeter defense, yet guards are blowing by me for uncontested layups like I’m not even there. I can clamp down on someone spamming dribble moves, and the game still forces me behind them. I even scrapped a 99 perimeter build because he was the worst defender I’ve used—despite having 89 speed and 89 agility.

I’m not saying elite guards shouldn’t score, but they should have to earn it. Right now, it feels like player coordination and defensive responsiveness are out of sync and need better tuning. That’s what makes the game more balanced—you can dribble, but the defender isn’t handicapped. One of you has to make a mistake, rather than being forced out of position by broken mechanics.

how does geo rank work? im starter 3 with 64 win % and my 2k card looks better than ppl that are top 10 in my state but im ranked #2042
