This please @regal thicket , there is absolutely no way for two people to play a truly sim game against each other in a private league with an inability to control these gameplay factors. We got good shooters we simply cannot knock down shots with because we can't green their tricky timings... The game speed is now defaulted faster than real life, and we can't change it in h2h games, only CPU... The on ball defense is clampy as hell and throwing off the inside out balance when only like 1 or 2 players on a team can ever beat their man off the dribble... If you lower difficulty to try and do something to compensate for these issues, then you barely get any foul calls... We need absolute control of all this stuff back, at least for our private online or offline games. Playnow online and my career/myteam, I can understand but we should have full customization at least to the extent we had last year in our private games in order to tailor the experiences how we see fit

You should be able to shoot with an 80. 90 will be easier but you'll be ok! I have a 79 and was struggling. I went into ProAM shootaround just to have the more difficult timing. I played around with the visual timing in the custom jump shot area and finally found some consistency. There's a lot of really good jump shot suggestions out there too for big's.

Last year it was a more difficult timing than those modes... so I would get in there and it would feel easier. Seems to be similar this year. After I got it figured out in there I've been hitting way more consistently. I would try it out for sure. I agree that MyCourt is way too easy and not an accurate depiction of how it will be online.

I don't have any badges yet. I was hoping it would make a big difference but sounds like that may not be the case 😂 I think if you just get your visual timing down it will help you a lot. Mine is really close to the end of releae this year and last year mine was basically on push

Depending if you're getting early or lates just try bumping it down or up twice and then I think you'll find a good area. You're likely not far off, you just need to work on it with the online timing.

Yeah, so I was getting early's I would move the slider closer to release and then if I was getting late's I would move it closer to push. But only like 2 little ticks at a time. I also bumped down my speed because shooting seems so quick this year. Which I love, but if you don't have that high 3 ball it's really hard to time.

Defense feels fine to me. Footers shooting contested is pretty rough but if you jump at their dominant hand when they shoot they miss most of the time. I run 6’11 gold challenger/Anchor/immovable.

You have to jump at shooters this year and rotate properly on defense man. Make the adjustment. Everyone in upper sbmm levels in pro-am, rec, and proving grounds already made this adjustment. LeBron has gold deadeye and a high release point btw.
You can jump insanely far on contests this year too. Which I’m sure the devs made it that way specifically for perimeter shot contest

No, so you would rhythm but it wouldn’t be your jumper. It would break it into two pieces and slow it down. It looked really ugly. I love rhythm shooting and I couldn’t do it because it wasn’t my jumper.

Lane steals are reasonable but generally the defence is a bit harder. To get bumps you have to use the stick more or just tap square. It’s not as bad as some people are making it out to be lol. I just don’t think people are used to it yet.

Ohhh ok, weird. I don’t have to contest the perimeter too much because I’m a PF… I noticed it’s inconsistent though. The paint was terrible for me, until I got badges. Now I’m contesting without issue. Seems like an easy enough fix!

last year i was going 85 on most builds cause gold interceptor was good and stealing off long passes in transition were easy, but the people i play with usually are telling me there isn't so much steals off these plays anymore

I dunno, I’m getting a lot of steals and blocks while being in the 80’s. The steals have changed in terms of where you’re aiming and what you’re looking for when it’s on ball… lane steals are still very strong though.

Yep, it was just hitching weird for some people. The jumpers weren’t smooth. Rhythm shooting is very strong still this year

Yeah! Last year I was on push and I had to switch to release this year. I think the visual timing is just more accurate this year tbh. Jumpers are also pretty quick in comparison, so I think it also gives people some more time to time effectively

I always start on rookie for this reason 😭 just do your normal troubleshooting stuff and then report it… because it could possibly be a glitch. Try also changing it in all the settings for the game too.
