how layups work exactly is still a mystery, but contest matters in 2K25. Check “ring” below player + Kevin Cruz channel. He shoots like 80-90% from every where. He’s basically un-guardable.

lots of mechanics like height advantages 5’7 vs 6’9. certain attributes are not as important. Certain badges are not as important or matter depending on height, play style and other attributes.

**Turn off shot metre and use Rhythm shooting for a 20% boost plus RS boost. RS new to 2k 25. Lots of videos on this.
Also set to high risk reward for shots and layups. Biggest green window.
Layup tips? Who knows. Shot metre-Most people keep it on.

2K25 is a bit different than 24 with more animations and rhythm shooting and “smoother” gameplay with basically the same issues with myNBA and MyGM.
-2k23 was praised for being the last complete 2k title.
You’ll notice roster holes in MyNBA.
-The W is still praised for being a solid mode. Caitlyn Clark 91 OVL to start her career. less micro transactions.
-My Team the same basically.

As for build help, there’s lots of little tips in the videos I’ve sent and throughout YouTube.

A player build is easier, don’t have to build from scratch.
Lots of people grind with a high 3 or midi shot guard to earn VC in the Pro AM or Rec.
But Kevin Durant, Kobe, LeBron, V.Wemby, A.Edwards, Curry, Z.Willamson (24), Ja Morant ok, are all good builds.
99 means their predetermined attributes are maxed.

There are Certain advantages based on height, 6’4 the cutoff.

Finally, you can do any build you want. A surprising amount of people build short guards.

If it were me I’d choose a taller plater like Giannis or MJ or Paul George. Or maybe a Kyle Lowry build a see how I do.

It depends if you like to shoot, and run plays, or if you like the paint, dunking and the post.

You can really play how you want. You just have to deal with the VC and the endless badges.

If you do street ball in 2025 you get lots of MY Points, which you need maxed to reach 98-99.
You get a bonus if you use 15+ ally-oops in a street boss game.
So choose a taller teammate and use pick and roll.

in 2k25 carrer rythm shooting dont work

Take a look at you tube. Just look up rhythm shooting.
It’s new to 2k 25.

You have to use right stick. That’s the point. Not square.
It Gives people using RS an advantage.

You have to time your shot TWICE. So time on release using Right Stick like normal.

But move RS again at time of release instead of just letting it go.

It should work on my career.

You should get two feedbacks, release, and tempo.

I apologize again man I’m trying to figure this out I’m not perfect. The game is not that bad I think all we need is a large buff to dribble style launches like multiple good speed boosts that don’t get clunky after launch and a slight buff to shooting. And please. In 2k26 give us real street hoops courts not none of this robot and pirate stuff just classic street basketball with great city atmosphere

Bro I just turned of crossplay and tried old town making 95% of everything I shot in warm ups- then I get in game and for the life of me- wide open shots from my lethal zone that I currently shoot 84% on….. can’t make a single shot.

You need to be starter 3 to get the first 5 car breakers, you were able to get 1 cap breaker each season after hitting level 40, since season 2! By now you should have 9 extra caps breakers or 14 if you are Veteran 2
