If you're seeing the ball bounce around the rim a lot before going in, it means you're hitting the outside edge of the green window. You'll see swishes if your timing is "perfect"

If you're using a custom jump shot from the shot creator, the shot timing visual cue slider will overwrite your controller setting. If you're using a non-edited NBA player's shot or playing in a team control mode, it will use your controller setting preference.

Features > Customize HUD > Shot Feedback. By default, it's set to Simple, which is that little text box that pops up as soon as you release the shot. If you want to see shot feedback from past 2K's (distance, coverage, etc.) you need to set Visibility to USER ONLY or ALL SHOTS.

The Team chemistry meter rewards unselfish play (assists, sharing the ball, good help defense, etc.) When it activates everybody gets boosted in areas that further benefit team play. Think of it like a team Dimer badge.

Cap Breakers will allow you to unlock higher badge levels as well as animations if you get to the required amount. But you can only apply Cap Breakers if your attribute isn't completely maxed out in the builder, there is still a hard cap to your attributes.

How to turn off ALL HUD indicators in nba 2k25?
In nba 2k25, i attempted to turn off ALL icons and indicators for the cleanest experience. I noticed that after I’ve gone through all the settings (including the new customize HUD settings) and I’ve turned off everything, there is still a white circle icon that shows who you will pass to. Picture included (right hand side) shows the icon I am referring to. How do I turn this off? I’ve tried all settings even under coach! Is there a way to turn off all gameplay indicators like 2k24? works fine for me on Windows 11. Looks like your GPU drivers are not up to date. Depending on if you have an AMD or Nvidia GPU, you'll have to either go to their website or software and get the latest drivers and install them. I know on Nvidia, you can generally do it through their GEForce experience software on the Windows PC.

There's 3 things listed in that message you need to check:

1. GPU needs to support DirectX 12.0 or newer
2. Windows needs to be version 21H1 or later
3. CPU needs to support AVX2

Your GPU and CPU should probably be fine. I've been playing on a 4070 in my laptop with no issues and a search on google says the 5800x supports AVX2. I'd start with the Windows version if I was when you get back to your PC. Search online and see what the version numbers are. Next thing I would try is to go back on the GEForce software and manually check that it's got the latest drivers. I've had games in the past (Cyberpunk comes to mind) where I had to manually download the newest drivers to get it to run.

Wanted to repost this icymi. If you're getting unwanted jumps when trying to play hands up defense near the hoop, try holding the right stick away from the shooter (or down if RS defense is set to absolute.) Holding up/toward shooter lets you get jumping contacts, making it much tougher for the shooter... but if he pump fakes his layup, you might get faked out of the play.

To clarify #NBA2K25 right stick defense controls. Holding RS any direction will put you in hands up on the perimeter and allow you to contest jump shots. When using hands up in the paint, Holding RS Up will allow you to play jumping contact layups if you're in good position. Holding RS Left/Right will attempt layup strips. Holding Down will allow you to wall up but not engage in any active defensive block or strip attempts (similar to last year.)

It's really hard to shoot with High Risk High Reward unless you perfectly green your shots, but if you use Normal Risk Normal reward, you'd miss some shots that would otherwise be green, but you'll make more shots that aren't perfectly on, so if you are concerned about internet/lag, try normal shooting

Probably need to find a good jumpshot. Go into MyGym and go to settings and set to Hall of Fame and test your jumpshots on your court until you find something you're hitting consistently with

Jumpers have different green windows, so something could feel good but still be hard to hit with... If all else fails get 2klabs for a month or something once they do some jumpshot tests

Worked decently well for me... Better than anything else I've tried... I didn't have another player in my 10 man rotation that had PF as their primary position other than Randle tho, so he ended up playing all 48... I had a few questions that I was hoping osmeone more knowledgable than me could answer: first, how important is strength for stuff like blowbys and contact dunks? Also what are the main strategies for on-ball defence? My build has max 82 per def and 75 int def and I know that isn't super high but I really struggle from being too quick to commit on defence
