In Live you could upgrade your player easily without putting real money in, just had to play the game (but not grind for 100 hrs). Clothing options were nice too. Graphics were good (at the time). They had real life locations like Rucker Park & Venice Beach instead of pirate ships and what not. NBA Live definitely had potential but EA stopped trying

How to get to 99 overall
Grind out the overall increase. Each game you play gives xp towards the overall bar and eventually you unlock the 85+ overall as you fill the bar repeatedly
Once you hit 90 and 95, you get those caps for your new builds made after hitting those marks.

From previous 2K gaming experience, the person on fast break route they run is also important as the rating of the passer. Plus I know as catching it relates to your post control/ ball handle rating, in which it gives you a rating / skill called “Hand”

My 6’11 pf is one of those 90 3pt, max dribble , and I decided to get 91 passing cuz I kind of want higher passing experience on 26. I’ve been playing 1 to 5 positions in every year. So my teammates are ok if I run as a second ball handler as a squad in 5v5
