I think in general, everyone should try to swing the rock around a lot in the first half, looking for the open man. Now, if the same guy just happens to be wide open every single posession, I get it. But that's about the only time that someone should have most of the team's shots in the first half.

When the second half starts, if it's a close game, or at least not a blowout, you should try to feed the hot hand. If someone keeps scoring, keep letting them score until the defense starts adjusting. That said, if it IS a blowout, at least try to swing the rock around and let everyone get involved. It'll be better for team morale, and will keep people engaged on the defensive end

I said the average player. Chances are, if you're in here, you're at least halfway decent. I'm red plate on my main build, and Gold plate already on a build that's only 82 overall. In that world, I would probably be shooting between 45-50%.

But the point is, the average players are making way too many shots, because the green windows are too large. Which not only bails out the bad players, but makes it THAT much harder to guard the good players

Which is a shame, because this game actually has a lot of animations that can get you to an easy midrange, there's a lot of options with layups this year now that we have custom layups, post work this year is beautiful if pulled off well, etc

I'm saying if I queue into a game of Random Rec, I've gotta deal with 4 people on my team. Let's say 2 of those 4 other people suck on defense, but their man isn't exactly skilled offensive. In a world where there wasn't a huge green window and it wasn't easier to hit a fade than it is to breathe, than those "unskilled offensive players" on the other team wouldn't be able to cook my poor defenders, because they don't really have a bag, all they know how to do is run corner and fade. But in this 2K, where the green windows are so large in general (and fades are easy because of it), those players get cooked. And I can't just switch to guard their man, because the guy I'm guarding actually IS skilled offensively
