Anyone can shoot in any 2k. You don't have to shoot 50%+ to "be able to shoot". The problem is, everyone thinks that every shot they take should go in, unless it's heavily contested. That's not how it works in basketball. Sure, great shooters like Steph rarely miss open shots, but even they have off nights. And the average shooter isn't like Steph. It shouldn't be this easy to shoot. But it's all about compared to the norm. If you shot 50% in 2K25, that was good, because the average players shot around 40%. If you shoot 50% in this 2K, that's actually below average. Meanwhile, no one in history has ever had a season shooting 50% on 100+ 3s (AKA, not someone who just took one or two all year and happened to make them). Shooting should be harder than this for the same reason that finishing should be harder. Not drastically so, mind you, but harder. Because the problem is, defense in basketball is about making your opponent take tough shots. And right now, nothing is a tough shot because everything is way too easy.
