If you are making your first MyPlayer and you are low on VC then I would go with the MyCareer pack for 75KVC. Yes you will miss out on the HoF pass xp reward that most players purchase to level up the season quicker but other than that you will not miss out on much IMO. The 75K VC will boost your player more and quicker than the Hof Pass.

I can mainly speak on the comparison between ultimate team and Myteam
But a lot of casino based rewards and the top players are impossible to get without gambling your life savings
For the myplayer on fc25 there's a lot less customization and things are not as blocked behind passes and heavy progression systems though so it makes it so by the 3rd month everyone has end game builds essentially
