You've gotta understand how the mechanics of this game work. If you have very low perimeter defense, every time someone shoots, it will be open unless your entire body is on top of them. Having 62 perimter guarantees that you can get contests on people, and also gets you Bronze Immovable Enforcer, which helps to deal with faster players who may try to get by you.
The 60 steal isn't as much for pluck steals as it is for abusing your 7'2 wingspan to get steals from people throwing poor passes down the floor

I would argue this is a more balanced version of the same thing, getting a few extra badges here and there (like HoF Pogo Stick), with +5 Cap Breakers on Defensive Rebound, +5 on Block, and eventually +4 on Pass Acc for HoF Break Starter. You can always use your Max+1 Tier 1 badge perk to get Gold Set Shot Specialist. On this build in particular, it has an 87 close shot to potentially cap break close shot to 92 later (for Gold Paint Prodigy), but if you wanted to lower that to 84 and put those points elsewhere, feel free

if you play with randoms only, expect a low win percentage. and lots of BS losses. can’t do anything about it, just play as good as possible, make smart plays and don’t take stupid shots. what your teammates do is out of your control.
just guard your man, and don’t let him score. that’s the goal.
