Take out the dunk meter and bring back the old dunking mechanism from 2k20-22.
The dunk meter is broken. Most people can just stand near paint, as long as they are not under the rim, it will be impossible to get a contact dunk. The dunk meter no longer counts as "skill" when a 5'7 guard with little to no interior defense can make your green window the size of an ant.
The old dunking mechanism made the game more fun and allowed the ability to get contact dunks if you had a good driving dunk type of build and it made it more possible to get a contact dunk instead of getting pulled out of an animation by somebody just because they are in front of you.
TL;DR
The dunk meter is one of the things that's ruining the game. It was a cool and new mechanism at first but it drastically became old and it doesnt even give you more contact dunks than the old dunking mechanism. It made it much harder. Please change this.

It either doesn't activate, i get pulled out of it, or it's small for no reason. Posterizer mainly helps when getting a dunk off when traffic is near you not in front of you.

Out of all the sports games this is by far the worst! Not because the actual game but because the community. 6’6 pg everywhere 6’5 pf everywhere. No one knows how to use the mid game besides 1 hop jumper, everyone uses the same combo to get an open 3. And NO ONE knows how to hit a cut. Once u see a colored hair face paint player u know the game is ruined before it starts. Community is the reason this game sucks, ppl don’t mind buying vc they mind buying vc and getting trolled by someone who knows 0% of basketball.

I ask because I feel like the casual playerbase isn't getting the love it should be, instead 2K is focusing on the competitive players (albeit with mixed results).
2K used to put effort into the game. Like the animations for the team logos used to hit different in 2K15. What happened to that passion to make a great game, even if you were the only available game by a major studio
It's like when we got complacent, they got lazy and the quality dropped. Almost as if we were gonna keep playing despite how bad things are...and we proved them right.

Even the loses I have, will also becoming the growth to the future success. I played since 15 too. I still don’t think 2K has live up to our expectation even though they did throw in some improvements here n there. But I think the game itself shares the same core value but we are the one that’s changing

In that case, as long it doesn’t say the clothing you put isn’t overlapped etc. it should be fine. Ex: wearing a long sleeve or a jacket etc that can covers the sleeve and still keep the +1 rating. And what I mean, regardless what you wearing, checking 2K card on your player can always tell if you have +1 or not equipped

I get what you're saying bro. I do. I'm just saying, there used to be like this balance. The casual players could ball out without having to feel like something is on the line and the competitive players could ball out with something on the line...which was usually just respect and recognition. Now? I mean yeah if you're a casual player like I am, you've got options, but like, it feels like because of how you're reliant on VC for everything from attribute increases to what you wear, it sorta brought this idea that you need to look good and play just as good, if not better. I don't play the game all the time and when I do play, I find myself playing MyNBA more because I earn more VC there and I can easily earn 1.1K VC a game by playing on Semi-Pro.

This game continues to be the same garbage year after year. The shooting is bs and is randomly decided before the game starts which team will be the better shooting team. They continue to charge ludicrous prices for Vc and make the game pay to win despite costing $70 to buy the game in the first place. And people keep buying into it year after year. It’s the same exact game every year with a new roster and everyone keeps paying for it. When are you all going to stop letting them take your money?
