They really aren't. Because you are timing with the prostick, it adds a skill level that you need to make it. Layups and dunks where you tap x, have a high possibility for contest.

I've missed so many contact dunks that I timed correctly from being blocked or "too surrounded"

If you have a very high driving dunk with high limitless takeoff, you can start the dunk animation in the mid-range area (well outside of the paint) to avoid contact registering
