Hello, quesiton from someone new to NBA 2k... Hello, some friends and I were going to start a MyNBA online league. None of us have played 2k, and I can't seem to find out exactly how advancing through a days/weeks/season works. I am used to Madden where you play one game a week, everyone plays, you advance the week. Does 2k work the same way but with each day? As in if you don't have a game for 2-3 days in game you have to go in everyday, and 'ready up', and then just wait until everyone else is done and it advances to your day with a game? Or is it really that you and anyone in the league can just play their games in any order?

And if that is the case, when do players feel the impact of practices?

You start with a 1010 total OVR cap across 14 players, and you have to stay at 14. Cap increases as you play, so activity gets rewarded and rosters grow over time.

You have to run your playbook and mix your offense. Some iso and fastbreaks are fine. But most possessions need to have a real half-court plan, even if it’s quick.

On defense, on-ball or off-ball is fine too. Just don’t combine off-ball with lane baiting and call it defense. No free safety. No camping in passing lanes all game. If it feels cheesy, avoid doing it.
