I just feel like the free cards this year are just higher level cards. Such as a sarr, Jabari, and even ware were all comp level cards at some point and still are. I feel like in 23 (aside from KG), free cards were noticeably worse than pack cards

In general I agree with that. But I think part of that is also just because of the pacing of the content being so much quicker. I mean again, in 23, the first DMs were in All Star packs. Now we have 100s before All Star break. I do think they've done a good job of putting out good free cards though this year. Like they used to give you a lot more locker codes back in 23 compared to now, but you are more likely to get a free card from a grind in 26 that you'll actually use than you were to get a card you'd actually use from one of those locker codes in 23.
