I circled where you have to start moving your stick for rhythm shooting in each shot. Both shots are an A+ speed, with the small jumper being a little faster. The stick movements however are very different, i have to basically move my stick up instantly with the small guard jumper using a base llike patty mills, where as with Bosh on my big man, the set shot is almost 50% of the way into the animation, so im holding down longer before im flicking up for my tempo.

The "meta" animations people give you for each sizes shot dont really line up unless you make your own shots and match up the stats.

I think lane steals are in a pretty good place TBH, i average 1+ steals a game even on guys with 60 steal. Main things for me that need a defensive buff is close outs, perimeter bumps when people dribblle straight into you with an escape, and the speed in which bigs turn 180

Yes there is a little boost. Almost every build should be able to beat a 7'4 to the rim, but even your 86 spd/agil backends can't beat them there if they both press forward at the same time.

Yeah if the guard is going to shoot it right away, you have to be ready to step up and avoid a late contest. If they pass a lot or hesitate it's a little easier to play loose and let the guard fight through it more.
