For me for example, I get a lot of my buckets that I create at the rim or in the midrange, but I still like to have a good enough 3pt to be able to shoot catch and shoot shots and create the occasional 3pt shot when necessary. And then I also usually try to have decent pass acc on my builds because I need to be able to hit open teammates, and I need good enough defense to not get cooked. Depending on the build, I may put more into rebounding or post control, but generally that's how I approach making a build for myself. From there, it just depends on what position I wanna be at, what height I'm looking to be at, and what I can get out of it all.

That's fair, though I feel like it's hard to really know what a build would look like until you've got it maxed out. One thing you could do is create a build in the builder, and then remake it in MyNBA as a created player (based on whatever attributes you got in the builder + any cap breakers you expect to get, and all the badges you'd end up having). This would let you test out the builds with their maxed out potential

Imo 88 block for high flying is plenty for faster rim protectors. 93 and 99 are good too but it's definitely diminishing returns after 84/88.

Yeah a 6'9 PF or C would probably work well. I'd probably still be sure to get at least like a 78 or 80 3pt shot, to be able to help space the floor when needed, but that could be a very good build. 93 driving dunk, 93 block, and 83 vert are also good values if that's what you're trying to do. And then as a C/PF I'd try to aim for Gold Break Starter at 87 pass acc. I certainly wouldn't go any lower than 76.

6'10 or 6'11 can work at the 5 if the rebounding is high enough. But if you don't have at least 96 rebound, I'd put it at the 4.

So the goal is being in the 95-99 range. Not every build needs to be 99 (for example, I don't always max out my post control or my standing dunk if it doesn't unlock anything else that I'll actually use), but getting at least close to 99 is important to be able to stay competitive.

As far as leveling up, Street Kings and Open Court Runs are both good for MyPoints, which help you to get your overall up quicker, and the Endorsement Method is the fastest to get VC (Look up Grav2k Endorsement method on Youtube).

As far as learning how to play better, a lot of it is just basic basketball concepts of ball movement, spacing the floor, and making the right reads with the ball in your hands. But apart from that, when it comes to the actual mechanics of how to play the game, there's plenty of videos on youtube teaching you different combos or how to do certain moves. Off the top of my head, Kevin Cruz is one of the best at teaching certain things like how to play defense or how to create your own shot.
