Sub out is essentially a pause. I'd rather a troll self-bot than do the other things they do. Sit still doing nothing, getting offensive/defensive 3, offensive player out of bounds, intentional turnovers/fouls, etc. Slightly incentivized if they can still get some reward by going bot instead of quitting. Stay mad on the bench instead of throwing and come back if you want after cooling down.

Hotheads don't instantly requeue, they go do something else and come back. This wouldn't be a purely anti-troll measure. Everybody sometimes needs to afk over a 30 min match. Bathroom, kid or pet getting into something.
Abuse can be circumvented by reducing the reward based on time subbed out scaling down to 0 rewards.
