Just like have a bright child object on a weapon..
And make map dark
Add a gradient to end of the child obj
And make it so what you want to only appear when in contact do that
What gradient
Like from mid opacity to low opacity then to no opacity on the texture
They adding airbrush next upd I think so it should be easier when that gets released

Lights up the area or stops when it hits a tile
