Im making a plane game but i don't exactly know how to make a flying system. Many people do it on RPGs but i need to do it on a plataformer to make my character's phisycs work. Any advices or solutions?

That would be nice but i need it to look smooth and making weird jumps in mid-air is not so helpful in those situations
