Immediately upon entering this cave [picture] in the Hanging Gardens, frames drop to 2-8 fps and ping spikes into 300s (from a normal 30-50).

I’ve been getting the same issue. I’ll check my log later but I don’t think there will be anything in there that will tell me the what the issue is

Same here, that cave turns the game into a slideshow and triggers my vertigo really badly. Seems the optimization needs some work.

Find your logs on Windows:

Right-click "Loftia Playtest" in Steam -> "Manage" -> "Browse Local Files"
Navigate into "Loftia" -> "Saved" -> "Logs"
"Loftia.log" will always be the current/most-recent log file.

Find your logs on Mac:

Right-click (or hold down Control while clicking) the Finder icon in your dock
Choose "Go to Folder..."
Type or paste "~/Library/Logs/Loftia/" in the box

UPDATE: reinstalling the game on the internal drive fixed this

I have two drives and they're both internal. I could try installing the game on the drive my OS is installed on

So installing the game again on my C Drive made no difference. I still get a big fps drop whenever I enter the cave

I've been experimenting and this happens only when somebody is inside the cave. It can be me or another player. If I'm outside the cave nearby I start to have frame drops it's because somebody entered the cave. The more players that are inside the cave the worse the frames get. Also the ping does spike.
