I can run the game pretty perfectly, FPS wise. The only issue seems to be that the game, however y'all have it optimized, puts a MASSIVE load of stress on my GPU, 'twould seem. Can't play the game for any longer than maybe 20 minutes before my GPU crashes and the game has to be shutdown. Which is really unfortunate, because I do like the small bit of what I've seen so far and would love to play more. But alas.
#GPU Crash

do you get any errors while running the game ? mind sending your PC specs as well ? 🙂
the only error i get is when the game crashes my GPU, saying that my GPU crashed / D3D error, something along those lines. I tried capping the FPS like I saw in some other people's crashes, but that still isn't fixing it. running the game progressively stresses my system, like, i wish you could hear how much my fans and everything start working harder and harder the more the game plays, to the point where i don't want to play it anymore from fear of it breaking my computer.
I have the exact same Rx 7600, 8G and I have this problem also, it runs for a while but 10-30 mins later the game stops, I have tried a bunch of things even reinstall my system. If I leave the game open and don't play, it stays fine but as soon as I try playing, this happens.
My boyfriend has a GTX 970 4G and his game is perfectly fine, runs for hours and his gameplay is perfect.
I really want the betabara and even this problem is going on, I'm still determined to get it lol
i believe in you
stole this from someone else's post but this is the exact error message I get as well
Here is what it shows me when the game crashes. I'm from Brazil, sorry for my English btw
@lament river @hollow osprey give your PCs some time to cool off, then the next time it crashes i would submit your logs if you haven’t already
otherwise, have you ran the game in low performance ?

To help our Engineering team solve the bugs as efficiently as possible, please share your Loftia Logs and Crash Logs using this Google form. Sharing your logs in chat could share some personal information about your machine so please be aware before sharing log files publicly.
Find your logs on Windows:
- Right-click "Loftia Playtest" in Steam -> "Manage" -> "Browse Local Files"
- Navigate into "Loftia" -> "Saved" -> "Logs"
- "Loftia.log" will always be the current/most-recent log file.
Find your logs on Mac:
- Right-click (or hold down Control while clicking) the Finder icon in your dock
- Choose "Go to Folder..."
- Type or paste "~/Library/Logs/Loftia/" in the box
no, and i don't plan on running the game in low performance mode. If the game isn't optimized properly to not tax my system unnecessarily, I'm just not going to play it.
thats my image btw thnx for stealing it
you're welcome 🙂↕️
I tried in low performance, I tried everything but I waited so much for this game that no matter what problem I will keep on playing lol
haha, i admire the determination
I think I never had this patience in my LIFE
@lament river what's your username on the game ?
same as here, Paradigm
Can you folks check task maanger when you open up the game? I saw one report from another user of a ton of Nvidia processes getting kicked off, I wonder if you might be hitting something similar
Look for NGX Updater
(a bunch of them)
I tried to upload my log, but I get an error that my log file exceeds 10MB
Ah, the google form might work then
I tried to go to the adventure minigame and I got frozen during the loading screen.
The full log is too big for the google form
Please provide your DxDiag
To help our Engineering team solve the bugs as efficiently as possible being aware of your machines spec, We ask that you provide a DxDiag to give us that information.
How to collect your DxDiag file
- On your Windows taskbar get to a search feature by: Right click the Windows logo --> Search
- Search for DxDiag and open it
- Hit Save all information on the bottom right of the window
- Save the text document and share that with us
I think the adventures one is a different issue entirely than what most of the people in this thread are hitting though
@uneven pagoda
I was able to play the game before though. It failed the second time
Got it, thanks, we will look into it! Let me know if it keeps crashing, particularly if it is different than how it is currently
So I used to get the fatal crash I couldn't even make it to the game screen now it says trouble logging in and when I try to link my email it just loads for a long time
so far, limitting the FPS to either 60 or 30 seems to be the most reliable method at getting to play the game for about 30-40 minutes without a crash. From the few times I've tried playing, it seems like the housing/neighborhood area is when, my computer at least, starts really taking off with its fans and what not. could be related to the already existing housing/neighborhood issues and why they disappear, etc. I seem to be able to roam about the main city collecting resources without too much stress. but it really goes crazy when i go to my home.
thanks so much ill get him to ttry that
My GPU seems to continue to crash shortly after entering the title screen despite the PC specs being in the recommended range, I feel like we've tried everything to try to fix it
yeah, there doesn't seem to be a real way to "fix" it on our end. gotta just hope the devs can find the issue in the logs and all that good jazz at this point, 'twould seem.
Yeah, unfortunately seems so, we're currently trying to post the logs to see if that helps with finding the issue

Hello, i have the same problem 🙁 in 1 1/2 hours 2 times
I also have the RX 7600 8G. Same thing happens to me, except I get maybe 5-10 mins of play before it happens. I’ve updated drivers, played with settings…nothing seems to help.
@north flint - Taking a look at the log
@north flint - Have you tried setting your max FPS to 60 in settings?
I ended up getting a new/better GPU. I was having similar problems with my screens going black while playing Palia. I got a Gigabyte RTX 5070 12G and so far everything is running smoothly.
hopefully that won't be the solution we all have to resort to. would be unfortunate
My sessions won't last more then a few minutes... my GPU is a 4070...
@scenic stream - Can you try locking your fps at 30 (aggressive may feel a little laggy at times) or 60 (this is what I lock mine too)
And drop me a !dxdiag if you'd be so kind

Thanks for the report, Shylee! Are you running with DLSS on? If so, with what settings? Your crash specifically looks DLSS related ("LogD3D12RHI: Error: Streamline/DLSSG present failed " in your log).

What's that? 😅
Hi, if it can help, the same thing happened to me again… (it’s maybe the 6th time since the beginning of the beta). FPS at 60 (maybe that’s the problem, but I don’t really like playing at 30…). “Yeah” to AMD, but Loftia is the only game that has crashed at 60 FPS 😌 I read Paradigm saying his fans were making noise, and mine do too as soon as I open the game, like loudly., I've read everything and tried everything but i'm out of solution 😅
Mostly when I’m talking to an NPC like Hazel or Jun and buying stuff, it crashes… Here are more things I captured in the screenshot. In red is when everything went black and turned off
Hi, what is DLSS?
DLSS is Nvidia's technology that can automatically improve your image quality/framerate, usable if you have a nvidia graphics card
There is an option in the graphics settings of the menu to turn it on/off
The game's been running a lot better since the recent update. Been playing for a couple hours now and i haven't crashed once. My computer isn't being anywhere near as loud either, which is a good indicator i can keep going for a while longer with no threat of a crash imminent. I appreciate the efforts to finding solutions y'all have been going through 🙏
spoke too soon i suppose, game did crash again, but, without all the pc noise
