I hit escape to access the menu and ended up stuck on it. I try to hit escape again to exit the menu, but it wouldn't exit. Instead, each time I click on any of the icons, I would swing my hammer. I'm able to swap tools using R, but can't move around or exit the menu.

I'm having this issue as well specifically when I open the menu while I'm in my house~ The only way I know to get rid of it is to force close the game

This could be related to the issue with the tutorials showing up all the time. At least that’s what happened to me. I’m linking the channel just in case

No tutorial pop ups on my end. I was trying to exit the menu and access my chest inside my house, but couldn't. So far, seems the common thing is that we were all inside our homes.

Just got this same bug.

same bug here - here's a screen recording if needed. had to Alt+F4 out and return to the game. when I loaded back in I was outside my house and it didn't appear that any progress was lost
edit to add - I'm trying to complete the quest where I paint the couch from Estella. when I went back into my home, I got the tutorial again, clicked through it, and couldn't use the B menu to place anything. I left my home, went back in, didn't get the tutorial, and was able to place & paint the couch

Hi Folks,
After a night of rest, I'm wondering if a temporary work around while we look at the issue would be to enter your home without anything in your hands. If you hold R and select the item in your hand you put it away. I haven't been able to reproduce this myself so I'd need some help testing the theory.

Not gonna lie. I'm trying to reproduce the bug myself right now, going in and out of my house with or without an item in-hand...and I can't make it happen again. I'm wondering if it was just a one-off lag bug since it was day 1 of testing and I'm sure there were lots of people jumping into the game.

I was trying to do the same thing again but for me it only happened when there were tutorials right before coming in. I haven’t had any issues since as well

i’ll try some things out as well , but similar to what @raven robin was saying as far as tutorials go - most of us have also had the issue with #1496620314250182697
since i’ve gone through with clicking through all of them (instead of esc-ing out)i haven’t had any issues , but i’ll report back at the end of the night !

i made a new character to get tutorial popups again, since i knew that esc-ing out of the tutorial windows are a big bug-source here's what i noticed:
i still had tutorials for the crafting table enabled, so i brought it inside close to the entry. left & came back inside. before the UI loads, i ran up to the table's range to enable the pop up. esc-out of it & the UI was still not loaded in
i don't have any tools in this most recent clip, but i was trying to click out of it and esc-out of the menu & nothing worked

@tall ember I just sent in a log through the google for this as well in a .zip cause it was too big already for discord lol. I have encounter it when going to my solar panel on my second character after a tutorial. FYI this is on Steam Deck but playing with kbm
