1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I tried opening it just now
My computer got really laggy I couldnt type
I have the MacBook Air
I had to do a hard reset
Ya I had that same issue. I couldn’t close the game without turning it off completely. It messed with my computer so bad.
Im not sure if I should reopen
Hi - the minimum requirements for the Beta are an M2 chip - I know they are planning some further optimisation ahead of Early Access
Frequently asked questions about the Loftia Beta playtest
I have an M1 Max Mac Studio and ive been able to play it
Anything special you did for it to work
you can gift a beta key that hasn't been activated.
once activated they can no longer be used again/reassigned.
please use #🌺┆beta-questions for any further questions unrelated to this thread. ^^
i've got an M1 chip (albeit on my macbook pro) and it's running fantastically
Which is interesting.... I have a spare Macbook that's at the minimum specs and it really struggled too
weird.
did you do anything for it to work? my friend luckie has a mac air i believe with m1 and twice it froze her entire laptop
No, it’s just running out of the box. In early alpha I had to mess with the video settings to get good performance but not for a solid while. I wonder if it’s a memory thing, not a processor thing
ah yea maybe
I keep activity monitor open all the time (I like looking at the stats) and the only thing puts the memory usage up there like Loftia is heavily modded Minecraft.
I will look into it for her when she comes back on ty 🙂 It may justbe her mac is older and won't run the beta sadly
I’m having the same issues of excessive lag/needing to do a forced shutdown to escape, but I am also using a 9+ year old MacBook Air with an M1 chip so I guess that’s to be expected 🥲
it took 70mins of playtime on steam to get through character creation and the intro movie + the first brief dialogue w. pebble 💀
that’s on me for not reading the minimum requirements for beta ig, I backed the kickstarter intending to play on switch so I didn’t think to check my computer parts rip :’)
Same - my M1 iMac meets the minimum requirements listed on Steam, but those really need to be revised because it is unplayable.
Just wanted to chime in that the game works as smoothly as expected on my macbook pro intel i9
