#Loftia switch

Hello, Switch is released after early access releses. Everyone who boughtan early access key for switch, gets an steam key as an apology. If you purchased either an alpha or early access key, you get acces to closed beta
How is a Steam Key helpful if they purchased the game on Switch? It’s awfully bold to expect that everyone interested in your game also has access to a PC to play.
It’s as an apology for the delay! Switch will come but not directly with early access. There has been issues with the dev kit for the switch 2, since Nintendo doesn’t wanna hand them out to all indie studios. So an apology for the delay you get additional key.
You were so missing the point of my question… I understand that it’s an “apology”, but it’s an empty one if someone doesn’t have access to a PC or Steam Deck, ROG ALLY, etc. that can run Steam in order to use it. I think that direct compensation or a discount in the Premium shop, if there are plans for one, would go further than a Steam Key that someone can’t use.
If I could only play on Switch/Switch 2, and I’d paid for EA but couldn’t actually play it until later, I’d be pretty upset and feel like I’d just thrown my money away for nothing.
And I understand that Nintendo are the ones that are causing the delay - but then I would’ve only offered PC/Steam as an EA platform instead of Switch. It’s not exactly a state secret that games on Switch release later than PC because Nintendo is notorious for being uncooperative with Indie studios.
Thanks for the replies, and is there a release date for the Switch?
Not yet. The team will announce once they have a release date. But it will be after the early access release for pc
Hi I bought early access for the switch from their very first kickstarter so how do I get my steam key?
Hi Eru! You should have received an email near the beginning of this month containing login details for the loftia.gg website
Once you login, the Steam key will be displayed there
The email should be titled Your Loftia Beta key is ready! 💛🌱
how will add-ons (pet) be treated for switch players? since switch players will be receiving steam key when it goes to early access.
Switch players will receive rewards at the same time as Steam players!
We're still in the process of finalizing decisions on cross-play.
- If cross-play is supported, your account and progress from Steam will automatically also be accessible from the Switch copy that you receive later.
- If cross-play is not supported, we will migrate your Kickstarter rewards, and your account data, from Steam over to the Switch account when you receive it.
For those of us without a PC capable of playing this game, will there be a Beta for Switch as well with the same rewards?
good timezone hunnybunnee.
our team has been working consistently on loftia's switch version alongside the pc/mac versions of the game. unfortunately nintendo had not yet provided the devkit to the team needed to finalise its release for that console, which caused a delay in loftia's switch release. so loftia's closed beta stage will not be available on the switch due to this delay.
at this stage, switch version is scheduled to be released within a few months after the start date of loftia's early access.
So do they have the devkit now?
Hi Hunnybunnee, like Manaril told you, the switch release is scheduled a few months after the start of early access. So, switch release will be after mid-2026
Totally agree with @graceful escarp here! I‘m a switch player and I totally understand that the problems is with Nintendo but giving switch player a steam key for playing is more than sad. I can‘t use that key since I don’t own a PC so it doesn‘t give me any „benefits“… I payed for EA and won‘t receive it, which kinda makes me mad. Still I know that it isn‘t your fault that Nintendo is uncooperative but giving the switch players a sincere apology or compensation would be appropriate… For example I can‘t even get the beta rewards since I can‘t play the beta. It just feels unfair to me
thanks for your feedback jolli, it's been passed on for consideration.
please note though we're discussing switch not being available in the closed beta (not ea, which at this stage is tba). depending how long ea goes for, it's possible the switch version may become available while ea is still in progress.
Hi, I found this thread while searching for the switch. After the beta is complete will those that kickstarted for switch not have a steam key once loftia is in EA and have to wait for the switch release ?
when can someone actually purchase to play this? I did not do the kickstarter after getting scammed from another game I gave money to
With early access around mid 2026
we get a steam key for EA and the switch key later as "compensation"
okay yay! so when EA is released on steam, we will have access to play (just not on switch yet)
Dang.! I linked the wrong email for the Beta key to gift after I reached the Gardens. Who can I reach or do i have to start all over again?
while we appreciate your support of other members, please allow the safety team to answer questions in this forum.
please see this response from mic:
we don't currently have a way to allow changing your email, but you'll be able to keep the rewards on your new email for the time being, in the future after the Beta we'll be able to help merge rewards from 2 accounts into 1

the team are looking into this feature.
-# also if you have a question, please search this forums for a related pre-existing issue, otherwise make a new post, rather than posting on an unrelated thread.

though i was just reiterating information which was mentioned above in this thread by @carmine ether
thanks for understanding. ^^ we do appreciate that.

Will Loftia be released on Switch 1 and Switch 2?
good timezone yulie.
loftia is currently in development for Switch, which is scheduled for release within a few months of early access release (ea is tentatively sometime after mid to later this year, so Switch will come after that).
the team are very interested in developing for Switch 2 as well but as yet have not received the Switch 2 devkit from Nintendo, so this is tba. keep an eye on #📣┆announcements for updates!
