please please please spread awareness about an incident that happened in queensland, australia. a girl called kirra hart was brutally ||stabbed,|| cut, humiliated, bashed with bottles thrown at her head continuously while being filmed. she had to undergo surgery because of the severity of her wounds and is struggling but the girls only got fines for what they did. chloe, the one with the ||knife|| says she has no remorse or regret for what she did and says she deserved it. the other girl who bashed her, rhynisha, admits that they ||tortured|| her for several hours and she found it funny as fuck and her sister recorded everything. they arent paying any criminal offences because they are ‘children’ but thats not okay. there are two links. a gofundme for kirra and a petition to put chloe and rhynisha in prison.

The Willow Project

What is the willow project?

The Willow Project is a $6 billion dollar proposal from COP.N (ConocoPhillips) to let out over millions of chemicals to melt the ice in Alaska. This is to get more oils and gases.

What are the benefits of the project?

The benefits are that they can have access to an estimate of 600 million barrels. Oil is also very needed right now around the world.

What are the disadvantages?
A huge disadvantage is that the millions of chemicals will make it more difficult for living creatures to breathe.

the Kosa bill (kids online safety act) is a bill that has been introduced to convress and passed onto the next stage. The aim of the bill is to protect minors from things such as cyberbullying and predators by allowing parents to access search history, adding age verification to sites, and restricting content. From what i understood, youll need to be 18 or above to go on sites. Meaning thaf in order to use the internet, an ID such as a drivers license will be needed to prove youre old enough. Not only that but the creators are very anti lgbtq. Apps with a lot of LGBT content such as Tiktok, AO3, Wattpad, etc will be wiped. The bill will practically be a dont say gay online type of thing. Many minors who are apart of the community may be put at risk. It violates the first amendment (freedom of speech) since this bill will mandate that anything considered harmful on websites will be censored

-Nobody under 13 can create a social media account
-Nobody under 18 can have social media content recommended to them by algorithms
-Nobody under 16 can have particular data collected about them
-Anybody 17 or under requires parental consent to create a social media account
-No targeted advertising for minors
-No users 17 or under will be able to access content about ||sh, eating disorders or suicde||. This will likely include mental health resources.
-All users can opt out of algorithms
-All parents will have access to surveillance of what their kids do online
-All under 13s will require parental consent to make online accounts
You’re correct in saying that this is a VERY dodgy bill. It will restrict access to LGBT and mental health resources, and will be a massive issue for kids in unsafe households who don’t want their parents observing everything. It’s an incredibly one-size-fits-all approach, when in reality they should really be focusing on other ways of improving children’s mental health.

hey, i know it may have been avoided because its somewhat related to a controversial topic, but i think the level of destruction that's happening in Israel and Gaza is worthy of being reported on the #awareness channel, data says that ||over 2000 people have died|| in total and 200,000 have been displaced in Gaza, apart from ||many abductions happening|| and generally a catastrophic situation happening in areas near the border. be objective, but i think its a very important message to send, because its the biggest episode of violence the region has had since the 1973 war

the holy month of Ramadan begins tonight. it’s a month many Muslims observe, including Palestinian muslims. in this month they fast from fajr (sunrise) till maghrib (sunset) yet they have been fasting for 5 months now as a result of the ongoing genocide in gaza and the lack of humanitarian aid entering gaza. there have been cases of children of all ages, babies who are two months old and younger dying of malnourishment, dying out of starvation. those who survive the bombings die from the lack of food and clean water.
