Currently, actual art pieces in #fan-art get flooded by discussion - I think having threads would allow people to discuss art without flooding the chat.
We have #mod-discussion but I think having a specialized forum alongside it would be beneficial because then people can discuss the same mod and not interrupt each other

it would make more sense to rename the current channel to fan art discussion and make fan art gallery the new channel, something which I've seen done before and has worked well
