#some attacking shenanigans

Worst idea I've ever heard. This wouldn't punish you for getting hit by weaken. And it wouldn't reward you for applying weaken onto enemies when you have teeth or smackback effects.
damn alr
your opinion is valid tho
what i'm saying is that if a person has NO attack
not from frost
wouldn't attack
if they had 0 attack and they apply an effect they would still attack
how do you have 0 attack not from frost and no effect
nothing does that
unless you like pomegranite charm like a tinkerson jr or smth
new meta
maybe actually new meta if tinkerson applied his own effects
hypothetically
although on topic I'm not sure what the intention of this suggestion is
I dont think it changes anything at all literally
I dont think anything in the game has 0 attack AND no attack effect
except that one enemy that lowers your attack permanently each time you attack it I guess.
oh right
Still I would love my character to be able to attack regardless
Fizzle starts with 0 attack, instantly shut down I guess 🤷♂️
I think that's what the 'if attack is 0 and they don't apply any effects' meant
so fizzle would still attack because fizzle applies bom
if i'm reading that correctly
Still nonsensical
I mean I dont get the point of this suggestion tbh. Feel like companions that dont have attack stats and dont apply effects dont attack anyways? unless I'm missing somtehing
The original suggestion was if you attack is reduced by frost to zero you simply don't act on your turn
My guess is that their guy was reduced to 0 attack, then suiceded into teeth or smackback and they got mad
thats just the game idk
But their guy would've suicided into teeth anyway. 🤔
No because their guy would not have attacked if it worked like he is suggesting
Oh, you're so right!!!!!!
Anyway, I also agree with you that this suggestion is terrible.
There's tons of situations in which the system as is is also very beneficial for the player.
It's a very fair and balanced gameplay quirk.
It also makes frost behave like snow which is very odd
I guess the difference would be it just stops one trigger, so
I guess on something like Smackback, it wouldn't be as oppressive as Snow
Since it would get hit, trigger, lose Frost.
But that's just me being fair to an idea I don't like anyway.
it should trigger, its the cornerstone of many strategies. Such as smackback, effects that trigger on hit, teeth, etc
I don't disagree with you.
I agree with everything you're saying.
Frost working this way would be insane on higher counter companions too since
It basically is worth Snow X, where X is the counter times two
Which would make it be even more oppressive than snow on some strategies.
there is no frost resistance keyword so suddenly snow is worse snow based on that fact alone
Anyway, there's no justifiable reason to implement this. If something has a sword, it hits.
Oh you know what
It's kind of ironic, Leah, OP probably posted this because of Krunker fight.
The -2 attack Clunker, his ally attacks the Smackback wall...
OP got salty after suiciding against krunkers wall minion
To be fair it could have been maw jaw too
Maw Jaw is a prime example of why keeping the mechanic as is is great, too.
Give Maw Jaw Frost and immediately win a Smackback battle for free.
It is beneficial both ways.
i enjoy beepop leader
Ok
