Testing right now

Hour drive to Madison Wisconsin

YAYYYY

trim stream

Drives in the middle of the road when there is no center line. Lateral is pretty smooth, long seems fine as well.

Still won’t stop at a stop sign

pallid dome

This is an improvement

swift saddle

Lateral just a touch weaker than NV. Long same or a bit better. 90+% similar overall, not sure I'd know one from the other without having selected it.

but it was a Tesla California stop if yknow what I mean 🤣

#

it did great at three red lights and the lateral is much improved

clippy hates me

awful interaction using angle control and lane turn desires

This model actually had some torque on turns, left turn seems stronger. Also instant unwind. Long seemed pretty good, didn’t find any obvious fails in my 10 mile trip

Comparing everything to OP master model has an implication that master model is supposed to be good? Nevada is rather horrible and dangerous for lat on my Toyota which made me quickly give up on responding to the survey when it asked me to compare to it.

You can also skip any question you don't want to answer, no questions are required to submit your response.

How does it compare to gwm 5? I haven’t tried gwm6 yet

manic igloo
#

So far, pretty smooth

#

It hasn't given me a reason to switch yet, so good

So far best watermelon, we’ll see if that changes 😂

V6 hurt me bad, I'm scared to test v7, I don't believe all of you lol

I don't think the cheeseburger model isn't going to like it but let's do it

Drove for a while. Not a big change but overall feels more smooth and stable than gwm 5, and didn’t notice any regressions.

I've stopped at a FEW stop signs, but still missing a lot. Lat is great, long can use some work on stopping. Highways are solid, but it always is, to be fair

manic igloo
#

Same, no successful stop signs, but pretty good lat.
Highway was never an issue, but with enough city / suburb driving, the models would slowly get more comfortable with riding the left line.
No signs of that happening yet with this one, but that takes time to find out.
No lane lines still has it driving in the middle of the road, but on some turns it's where I would be driving.
Overall better than Nevada.

what about red lights?

The stopping distance behind cars is massive. Could build an Amazon warehouse between me and the lead.

I have the opposite. Keep disengaging because it doesn't want to stop creeping up to people

Took it on a longer drive today, mix of highway and rural/in town. Overall like it better than NV and plan to continue on it for now. Only one stop light as lead, was aggressively slowing to a good point, though didn't get to see what it'd do as the light turned green before it would have stopped. All good behavior, saw the green and continued. Lateral - approx. same torque as NV, perhaps a little more on left turns. I did note some ratchet-like steering unwind on sharp low-speed turns seen (and not seen) in some other models. Lane changes are crisp. Any more and they'd be abrupt/jerky.

I enjoyed gwm6 because of poor feedback from most people, so I have been driving GmW5 since it has been released. Drove about 25 minutes today all city and back roads and I would say this model is a slight improvement on GmW5. Seems to start 90 degree turns better, still unwinds too late but is noticably better. Only tested lat, probably will be my new daily until the next one comes out. (I already filled out the survey form).

I’ve had an issue with all the later WM versions slowing to 1-2mph for stop lights, then trying to go again when the light is still red. v7 seems to be the same.

This model hugged to the right on the highway for me. Overall I prefer firehose and Nevada. Torque requested was great on this model though. I may use this more for city driving and not highway

rose tartan

This model seems to pass over the right line a lot on the highway

#

but it does not appear to have the strong left bias that previous gwm models had in my car

Better unwind than FPCM, but worse in every other metric, long especially.

GWM V4 has been my daily for a hot minute now . I'll try this and see how it goes

Not so sure about the lat on this model . Bit twitchy
