Maybe it would be a nice add-on to sunnypilot to allow control of other functions of the car. For example, eGMP platform knows to precondition the battery before charging by setting a charger as a destination in the built-in navigation. I'm sure there is a CAN command to start that at user's request. Am i wrong?

This is a infotainment sent request that then sends commands over CAN to battery heater, cooling system, and coolant pumps based on desired time needed to precondition battery which is then based on factors such as battery temp, external temp, coolant temp…
If you can reverse engineer all of these checks then maybe. But you’re more in automotive engineering and thermodynamics than in ADAS coding at that point

Like i said above. Unless you have direct access to the infotainment, you need all the math above because “preconditioning” isn’t a can signal

I also would like this feature but I disagree it should be brought to Sunnypilot and the Comma 3X. The Comma 3X should remain focused only on ADAS driving only and not external cursory functions. It's better to just keep it simple and on-topic
