Radar Error: Restart the car

I'm encountering a "Radar error restart the CAR" message when using Sunnypilot on my 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy. I am using release-c3 which i switched to about a month ago from Stock OP. I never had this issue on stock OP. This error started happening about a week ago and it is becoming more frequent. I had used used Sunnypilot at the beginning of the year and was getting the same error but never reported it. I switched back to Stock OP for 7 months after that with no issues. I have a short three minute route where the error occurs. I will post it once i upload the logs.

I installed staging-c3 and went on a short ride, no error. I will use for a week to make sure it doesn't come back as i wasn't getting the error on every ride.

@charred lodge yesterday i had the Radar error restart the car message while on staging-c3.

I had two more radar errors and a no panda situation this morning, I will attach the routes once I upload the logs. All while still running on staging-c3, I never had back to back radar errors before after restarting the car.

This is the route ID for the First time i got the radar error after using Staging-c3 branch: 2cd5c775e97b2458/00000045--5d8a2a4e62

This is the route ID for the Second time it happen and i got a No panda Error and i had to restart the car to clear the no panda: 2cd5c775e97b2458/0000004b--71145f0310

This is the route where after restarting after the last route, it cleared the no panda but still had a Radar error: 2cd5c775e97b2458/0000004c--2528d2b0e9

i had that error before my issue was the wire causing that issue. if possible change wire to check if that might be issue for you.

Thanks but I doubt it’s the wire. I only have this issue when running sunnypilot. I had zero errors with stock OP running for months between using sunnypilot

I'm having a similar issue. I get an "Open-Pilot is not available. Please restart." message on a 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe running sunnypilot latest release branch. So does switching to staging-c3 fix the issue or is it just a temporary fix? Same as you, I've never really had that restart message come up under stock OP.

Honestly I couldn’t tell you. I’m still on staging-c3 and it still happens from time to time I get that error. Sunny last told me he is working through the backlog when they announced the issue with people getting banned so I’m just waiting for him to look at my logs and let me know what’s going on. But like I said in my initial post I never got the error running stock OP .

@charred lodge 2cd5c775e97b2458/0000004b--71145f0310 this is from the beginning of this month, unfortunately i forgot to preserve the one from the other day. But i believe in this one i got radar error and no panda error. i checked and it looks like i uploaded logs for this one. I have another route after this where i restarted the car and still got a radar error. Let me know if you need that one and i will go upload the logs for it.

Hmm I never got a radar tracks available except the first time I switched to the test build.

Yes! I got the firmware from “Mithheru” that authored the custom firmware

It’s very very nice, the new version that’s coming out will have “stealth mode”, which is pretty exciting (no clue what it is yet tho)

More customization and better false-positive mitigation

New user, 2022 Kia Niro PHEV. I get the Radar error immediately. Works fine on OP and FP. If I'm reading correctly you have a fix in the works? Willing to test as needed.

I've also been experiencing this exact error. Happens upon starting the car. Have to reboot C3 and cycle the car to fix it. On dev-c3
