Sheesh, I've been on WMI12 for about a month and tried DTR for the past few days and DTR is driving me nuts. Stops too early, goes very uncomfortably over the lines on some turns, etc. Anyone else got any model recommends they love and if so why?

Off policy is different architecture, it's composed of 3 separate ML models that all work together (Vision -> Off policy -> On Policy), before it was just (Vision -> Policy). Upstream (Comma's Openpilot) had Off Policy merged in to master but with OPv8/9/10 some issues starting popping up such as LocationD issues and ping pong, so they reverted it. Sunnypilot already has support for Off Policy merged in. This new PR is re-merging in those off policy architecture changes, so it's bigger than usual for a model update.

But yes, this is all via reading their PRs/commits/code in my spare time

They are working on adding reinforcement learning to the models, among other things. There hasn’t been a model that’s better (or really safe in some cases) in a while. Although in the openpilot experience thread there seems to be some headway and people are liking the changes.

They just haven’t been added to sunnypilot yet.

Have not encounter s and g. It will move 90 degree as you stop. So keep a long gap and okay with gas. Also I notice there’s micro oscillators at night.
