I think my biggest complaint with mvs so far isn't even any character, but it's the lack of learning tools and quality of life options. Training mode is half baked and it gets annoying that there's no settings to do stuff like set Jack's focus to infinite or even go backwards when setting a character's percentage. You have to cycle through all the percentages to get back to 0.

Hell tons of people don't even know what DI is or how to do it properly because the tutorial is basically non-existent and doesn't mention it like it did in the beta. I think the game not telling new players important concepts like even basic edge guarding and how many air actions you have have led to people getting frustrated because of just not understanding how things work.

Jack is a risky character who leaps off stage to throw his opponent into the blastzond

His combos aren't great, they're very basic and short more of just quick strings than anything else

His kill power is pretty lackluster compared to a large majority of the cast

He's seemingly lighter than Reindog

Which means lighter than about half the cast

He has more whiff than nearly every character in the roster, mostly because the characters from the beta were designed for a faster game and just never rebalanced for a slower one

Killing early with Jack requires you to either read your opponent insanely hard or take a massive risk to leap off stage and risk dying at 0 in exchange for a kill at 30

I think it's honestly not even the side special, it's his kick (jab 1) that has a hitbox that hits you from everywhere
