I have 2 ways to nerf Taz's side special to prevent people from complaining about the move.

1. Taz gets a cooldown attack similar to cooldown up special where Taz does a quick but weak claw slash so Taz still gets an option but he can only use spin off cooldown

2. The spin is harmless upon turning and Taz is slower when doing it (think of Sonic's spin dash). Additionally the animation of Taz before he spins is a tad bit slower

I'd have 2 nickles every time an obscure animal that is known by fictional media is hated in a platform fighter because their side special makes them spin...

It's annoying for Taz sure since Stripe has priority over some of his attacks but mainly both opponents are aware of the other can do

Most of his melee attacks override Taz' ones

That's why I like the matchup since it shows that Taz doesn't have priority over everything and forces him to switch up his playstyle (coming for a person who mains Taz)

though Stripe can be debatable as being more annoying than Taz

stripe is a very easy matchup imo

like he can prety much do nothing against nado because he doesnt have any disjoints its kinda sad just use your nado semi intelligently and your good

stripe gets combod fairly easy to taz, and also dies fairly early, but gun is a very good option at stuffing out taz approaches, and so is dash attack. nado will just suck stripe in though, chainsaw is too slow to be a real counter. saw on the other hand is fairly good at stopping taz from nado, and im pretty sure it also puts a crosshair on taz for stripe to use gun

if youre really struggling against him, try staying in mid range and baiting out chainsaw, or skateboard. both moves are fairly easy to avoid if youre not locked into nado

cant really say much for stripes jab or up attack because theyre both pretty good, but generally just waiting and being patient will work. dash attack too if theyre being too passive, sandwich if theyre choosing to jump around your approaches and then using nair combos/reads

like just hitting someone with an anvil for the entire game like 2-3 times is going to give you more damage than 5% almost all the time

it just takes practise,remember that you can hold your mouth open with neutral spec and itll eat any projectile that flies into your mouth

the only time you really have to time it hard is when your doing something goofy like eating bugs rocket

I prefer not using Anvil, Stealing Harley’s sticky bomb is great, Ive killed Harleys before spitting it up on them

Step 2. try to kill them early with Nair >Sair

I don't think colat is great on him but I do think he can ground bounce pretty good. Jab dtilt for one. Nair onstage usually bounces as well. Obvi dair. Speed is def the way to go since chomp walking was patched

Sheilds in Multiversus is a double edge sword. It allows more characters to be flexible but it also means some gameplans are ruined since they have to be more thoughtful

As I said earlier Taz is in the middle ground since Taz already doesn't have a hard time dealing with armor too much

The issue is ArmorBreak doesnt break shields sadly. However armorbreak moves landing a hit against a shield makes them have a lot of less endlag. For example Taz downair will be able to be canceled into other stuff faster if you land it on someone guarding

Im curious if Putting “TooFastToBlock” makes his Dash attack gain less endlag when you do it against a shield

It's easy to parry tornado and you can basically fight it if you have a good disjoint/projectile, and now with shields it's so easy to punish

Dog pile it's slow af and the only times you are going to get hit it's when you are recovering low, otherwise just jump him and you are safe, he can't jump and it's slow

It is pretty cheap to a degree. Fast falling it and in general using it while the enemy is airborne puts them in a nearly inescapable position. You can parry it but many players crumble under pressure or just don’t know the timing lol

Any advice against characters with larger hitboxes than Taz? Whenever I go in with my aerials I always get stuffed, it feels like Taz has a smaller margin for error than most of the cast
