Kinda just a general rule for this game rn is just play slow, take up space with things like laser and air side b (since it can be a struggle to trade with) and force them to react to it

As soon as they do something stupid you can counterpoke them with jab (a lot of the time you'll have to dodge cancel in for it) or dair if youre in the air

And as skewed as his reward is, its still kinda good; calling out options in neutral with something like up b nets massive reward and supermans offstage game lets you play very reactionary and kinda safe when you finally win neutral

The sad truth is there are some streamers I see that think superman is S-A tier. When in reality you see no super man players in any form of high play!
It’s odd to me that VoiD (one of the best players) said multiple nerfs ago that superman was struggling. I do hope they eventually give him some help - But until then we keep playing! The only way this ever changes is if we keep playing and giving PFG feedback so they can improve him!
I will say though, I’m glad we superman players seem so well United. It’s nice to see! ❤️💙

I will agree those matchups feel bad!
However I think between T&J and Morty, T&J are the only ones where superman is the problem in my opinion!
Morty is a bruiser that they gave a ton of camping tools and ranged attacks to. He is a bruiser that plays like a mage. So either they need to reduce the strength of his ranged attacks forcing him to hand to hand fight you more or they need to make him a mage!
However, for now, there are some perks you can use!
With Morty, run the ice signature perk and every time you see him using projectiles use ice breath. This will get rid of the projectiles and add stacks to him that all you to do more damage! Against Morty, it’s also useful to being along to shield when walking perk. This means if he keeps using his earth move, you can walk through it!
For T&J, I recommend the same thing with the ice. The walking shield perk isn’t super useful here however since he can throw multiple projectile. So you’re better with either the projectile parry perk (if you’re good at parrying) or another offensive perk to make your close engagements more meaningful! Also with T&J, they don’t have a lot of kill potential until late especially against superman. I recommend the 100 perk! It gives you breaking, therefore extra damage and knock-back, when you’re above 100. This has come in clutch for me so many times! You can try using this for Morty, but I find his grenade and fire moves kill too early for it to be super useful!

honestly I think Superman is really failing to deliver on his power fantasy. Something I don't like about his strength rn is that a lot of it is centralized in his grounded up normal :/. Incredibly hard to punish because if you ever make the mistake of going in you get caught in the nastiest-360-hitting grounded up ever, which also has armor and honestly a pretty short recovery time.
