Joker players most of the time just want to dodge jab, a lot of them don't know that they have another combo starter so you already know a lot of his game plan, pls don't approach unless you have stun gun, and if he's dodging a lot against you use dirt on yourself as some type of shield

It's a hard matchup ngl but It's more managable than the gizmo matchup, just don't approach since he wins with a simple jab, most of the time you want to stun gun + dirt + sair + up air (Or if you want something more safe just down air after dirt)

Also throw a nade and dash attack, helps a lot control that he isn't moving for free in the ground

As a new Morty player my general concensus is that hes decent but he is incredibly difficult for how good he is and has a couple of volatile mus that make it hard to play him without some form of secondary

they straight up gave up trying to push morty as a bruiser and now label him as a mage i can’t 💀

I was gonna say outside of a few things being far reaching he's more Bruiser like then Mage

He's always been a mage the bruiser label.wasnt right for him.

The bruisers are straight forward hit and build up that damage. Mages take on cooldowns and tricky moves that don't make sense until you really learn them

Just that they spend most of his balancing before trying to make him less reliant on zoning

The problem I find is that Morty seems to have too many cooldowns

And no moves apart from jab sair dirt or up air to recover from the cooldowns

I wish they would of gave Morty different moves depending if there’s a cooldown or not
