Try using rocket fist and then either up special ball if they jump towards you and follow up or if they use dirt against rocket fist charge down attack to get the knock back and follow up

Practice quick jumping and using nair a dodge read or charge down attack instead of whiffing jab,

when you see the morty dodge release the down attack. It works because they’ll think your jabbing but instead youre charging down attack to catch the tail end of their dodge

Got bored so made some ideas for garnet

Sig perk 1 | Reactive Groove | Garnet’s neutral special instantly reflects projectiles | garnet rhythm caps at 2.

Sig perk 2 | Power Surge | Garnet’s Side Special and Up Special become larger when she has 2 or more rhythm.
(Up special is similar size to how it was in beta) & (garnet up special and side special now have longer cooldowns)

Sig perk 3 | Tuned for Action | While Garnet’s Down Special is on cooldown (and there’s no mark on the field), her grounded Down special becomes an Up Kick, and her aerial Down special turns into a backflip with a spike at the end.
(garnet down special has a longer cooldown)

Sig perk 4 | Sync’d Power | Garnet’s neutral attack gain slight increase in damage based on how much Rhythm Garnet has.

Sig perk 5 | Star Strike | Garnet’s down special when triggers become a heavy projectile that fly to garnet, dragging any enemies caught in it to garnet.

Since after garnet got buffed last season
and this season, i think she needs little buff, so far what i want is

• Buff her attack speed her side jab (muda muda punch), make is faster because it'll be helpful if i synergize this attack with armor killer perk

i ask this personally because until now armor killer is pretty useless because no matter how hard to try side jab against armor char, they'll always escape from this and punish because of it

Jason right now is kinda annoying, no matter how hard i try to counter him with my anti armor perk sets, he is really strong from his knockbacks

And in general, i'm really tired of this RP result, it's kinda a bit unfair because all matches that i got were really difficult and sweaty, even against lower high ranks

everytime i won : RP + 8-9
everytime i loss : RP - 16-19
i can tolerate this a bit because from day 1 this season, all MU that i got were lower rank (mostly) and high rank, almost no same rank (example, platinum vs platinum)
but the thing that i hate is sometimes i'm always lost 16 RP against same rank only different numbers (example, me platinum 3 vs platinum 5)

i know from other perspectives, it could be my skill issue, i get it ngl, it's just every matches really made me think that i really have to win these or loss >10 RP if i lose

overall, i think RP system in this season was pretty "fair"
because all my match ups mostly were kinda made sense, for example
win against low rank : + 6-11 RP
lost against low rank : - 19 RP mostly
win against high rank : +20 RP
lost against high rank : mostly -6 iirc

Or maybe... Don't approach? Side special with and without gauntlets is really good, you can up special grounded to put some stage pressure, down special gives you every moment to press it and even break shields and armor. Down tilt covers a rather wide area even if they jump they can't go too fast for a hit since you have armor

Also garnet has no safe approach anymore. All her approach option now have massive whiff frames. So now it’s either land the hit or get punished with a 30+ damage combo every time you miss without the ability to get away smh

Shields are so annoying especially because you can't do dodge boosted shield breakers and with virtually zero moves being safe on shield and effects still connecting thru shields it's just a headache

LeBron still gains a ball if he hits your shield that's just crazy to me

Out of all things they could’ve done for garnet. They’ve finished her off with giving her more whiff and putting hit boxes on a move that has no range or good way of utilizing it. SMH oh well

Ah. After fighting a few myself, I do understand the feeling. I had a scrim with a buddy for a FT5, and I lost to the first 4 matches before figuring it out

So, its not like a Harley MU in my opinion. To me, fighting Lola feels more like fighting a Steven Or a Marvin. Weird correlation but, let me explain it.

For starters, Garnet has always had TERRIBLE MUs with characters with small hitboxes (Steven, TnJ, Marvin, Arya) and Lola is no exception. She has an Anti Approach tool AND she’s also faster than us with virtually every button. Now normally, I take aggressive approaches with nearly every MU, but Lola is the one where I had to treat her like a Mage.

Your best options to approach Lola are going to be SAIR-1 and Gauntlets. If you don’t have Gauntlets to either trade with ball, or approach, you should play back and wait for her to approach Aerial. These Lola players tend to approach with Air Neutral Special and NAIR. If you can time it correctly, you can actually Up-Tilt her out of the Neutral Special in between the rotation. Other things to look for are DAIR approaches. Normally I try to parry it because its obvious, but you can also space it out and use Jab.

TL:DR Fight Lola As If You’re Playing Against A Mage. She Will Have To Whiff Eventually. Just Punish Accordingly While Pacing Your Own Advances.
