Ik it’s probably been said before but maybe Gotham city or a Krypton stage might be cool. Gotham city could have a stage hazard of the bustling cars at the bottom of the stage (similar to the Mario kart stage in SSBU). Then the Krypton stage could have two different appearances, the first one for competitive (Krypton utopia) then the second version could be for casual (During the Krypton invasion) with stage hazards.

For some context on me. I’m a 37 year old punk rock skater gaymer. So I’m one of the rare ones that gets hype for the rumored ‘legacy’ characters like goonies, wicked witch, beetlejuice, the gremlins….. I grew up with this stuff. Universes I want to see stages from are blade runner, mad max, LOTR, Bedrock (flinstones), Lego, never ending story, Willy wonka, dune, thundercats, terminator.

you just see a lot of angst with the legacy cast when info is found for them. some people cry saying nobody asked for goonies or wicked witch and want daffy duck and ben 10 first. to that i say that being older i want legacy characters. and if you made a poll of who everyone wanted and took the top 20, you just rush them out over them next few seasons. from that point on every season would be bad because all the hype was rushed out. you have to pepper us with super hype characters each season not just the first three.

I suppose it depends what you want to consider a legacy character. Even though he's only in the game to promote a new movie, Black Adam's first appearance was in 1945 which technically makes him a legacy character. It's really just a perspective thing. Take that main tweet complaining about the Goonies. I'm pretty sure the guy who made that tweet wanted Goku whose first appearance is from around the same time as The Goonies

This is a obscure pick but Sweet Justice from DC Super Hero Girls. It's a walk off map with a one large platform with walls. You can have some of the hero girls appear as cameos but that's just me.

It's more of a silly mode map but it would have a flat variation where you just fight on the Sweet Justice rooftop

I think a variation of the Throne Room for each of the 4 main houses. We already have Lannister, so let’s have a variation for the other three. Baratheon would be a similar version to the one already there, Targaryen would be a version that resembles House of the Dragon’s throne room, and then a Stark variation could have no throne but have ravens decorated all around. Each could have different background songs too, with the Baratheon version being a remix of Stannis’s theme and Stark’s version being a remix of King of the North.

Inspired by the gamemode Smash run (with enemies being players this time) would greatly add the much needed replayability and uniqueness to this game.

Completely stripping this game from it’s IPs, it isn’t a fun game & lacks
many fundamental features & unique selling points amongst Smash itself & it’s other “Smash clones”.

You can also include competitive stages inside those maps & have many more addable gamemodes including Capture the Flag, Race & Battle Royale.

If we got a stage like emerald city it wouldn’t stand out from the already boring generic and way too similar amount of stages we have so far

One of the contributors to smash becoming successful and iconic was its experimentation in stages.

The Tornado stage would function similar to floats but since Tornados spiral in one directions only it would be a lot more predictable and therefore strategic to know the next platform comes from the left instead of up down right ect. A bit like a camera zoomed in on a lower part of the London eye. It would also be way more fun to play on than the other flat platform stages we currently have.

the reason why all the stages are "boring" is because if you got a bad cheesy stage when queue up with a friend EVERYONE is going to hate the stage. Just look at 2v2 Treefort all that stage did was have two bottom platforms and it was so hated they made a bigger night version of Treefort 1v1 that stage would unfortunately have to be symmetrical unless you did something gimmicky with the starting placements but that a really big risk and is likely going to be hated It's the reason The court was stuck in the training mode for so long, You need to test experimental stages, and I agree that more creative stages is a great idea on paper the way the game was designed was to make the hazards the character moves and abilities not the stage you play on.

Yea main Treefort as a stage sucks not only because it’s simple design with barley anything happening but it’s very easy for opponents to switch platforms and that’s no fun. It should have been to scale like that newer night version where players would take a lot longer to switch

Stages don’t have to always be symmetrical and simple. They can be somewhat dynamic like the Corneria stage in smash bros and have an omega stage version for the more competitive and a less equal yet fun and not too annoying version for casuals.

The same could work here with the competitive Tornado with the omega version being slightly different to the rest maybe yet even having 1 main platform and 3 floating platforms that don’t move for more competitive players. I can’t take another Steven Universe one.

Non competitive stages don’t need to be non symmetrical all the time but I wish they were more optional and less competitive focused. Multiversus is acting far too late game without an established enough of an audience

Fair enough I guess my only problem is that realistically the casual version of the stage gets banished to the silly queue and I think it’s no fun to do that when you could try to make a stage playable in every mode. The only implementation I could see a universal version of Tornado being akin to the Bayonetta falling clock stage or whatever it’s called, but then where getting Into different competitive platform stage I think we can both agree that defeats the purpose of your idea of the stage.

I guess, but the thing is multiverses has three queues Ranked (closes thing to elite smash/for glory) the regular queue (for people who want to win but don’t want to fight the good players on ranked) and the silly queue (items and wacky stages galore, like for fun from smash 4) you would only add the casual stages to the silly queue because people see the regular queue as ranked lite due to how long it took to get a real ranked mode so you can’t add it to 2/3 modes making it redundant to not just make the comp friendly version and put the work on a different stage or more characters. This unfortunately has the consequences of a lack of fun in the stage pool without careful consideration :/ basically I’m trying to say is due to how the online works stages have to be very neutral and bland. Unfortunately we can’t use the same strategies as smash bros due to the fundamental differences between the two game’s online modes

My sibling in Christ did you read the rest of my message I gave an explanation on why the regular queue was full of people who play to win: 1. Ranked took forever to be added the only way to show you’re the best for a long time was regular queue mmr. 2. After all of the good players left the regular queue for ranked mid level players who wanted to win but not get their butts kicked against good players played the regular queue.

what they could do is have that part where it does the recap be the main stage and the screens in the background could replay a clip from the original show like 10 seconds, poop or scoop, or riddle snake, or even have just straight up hazards like things from distraction news covering characters, professor rocket's head blowing up on stage or the ears from ear we are making noises and having the soundwaves connecting them create hazards, I feel like a crashbox stage would be a huge well Ideas for the mvs team and they could even make it to where it could tease future characters.

A flat stage that gets smaller by doing damage to it (like attacks that hit the ground) or over time (it takes 3 minuets for the stage to fully crumble itself) to the point it becomes a singular platform similar to the Batcave's (but a tiny bit smaller). If the stage somehow is allowed in competitive, the stage will only be in the "fully broken" state with the singular platform
