Realistically you could do the same with anyone who's been Robin in the past. (Also yeah most people who don't follow the comics don't know who Jarro is, but that's DC's fault for not really promoting the character that much. The Batman Who Laughs is basically the same age as Jarro on the Comic Book Timescale and people know who he is because DC shoves him into damn near everything)

going to be honest i haven't heard of jarro, and him only being in the comics must be why. i wish i've read dc comics, but i'm only really familiar with the brand through the lego games and to a lesser extent whenever teen titans go aired. ig quinn has branched away from batman more and more thanks to suicide squad, and i think she's in the base roster to help promote kill the justice league, since other than that's she's about on or below level with green lantern and the like

DC doesn't seem to keen on promoting Jarro outside the comics, so most people don't know who he is. Also yeah, Harley Quinn was probably a promotional pick, not just for Suicide Squad KTJL but also to promote her own show. (Also about the Robin mantle, it's just who you think of first Ig. Since so many people have been Robin, I don't exactly consider Robin a character in his own right.)

I think we have a good amount for the launch roster (would have swapped Harley for the Joker, but that's beside the point), but could still see them add the Joker or the Flash to get an even five DC characters.

As for DC reps, I'm generally fine with seeing them commonly be added, mainly as I kinda expected them to be the Mario/Pokemon of the game. That said, do hope they pace themselves with what they add, alongside touching many corners of the DC universe.

Jarro and Starro are separate characters. Starro is Jarro’s genetic father. When Starro died Batman took a piece of him which then grew into its own being know as Jarro who Batman raised like his own son.The difference between the two is Starro is a villain and Jarro is a bat family character

I think it'd be best off for us to have either of the two as the base of the character and the other as a skin, if we got them as a boss (which we don't even know are guaranteed to be in the game yet) I feel like they'd shy away from having them as characters too, and we likely wouldn't get a large starro as a character bc they're quick enough as a species to latch onto people and stuff that making them large (and a heavyweight) would have issues clashing with their speed, at least imo. I feel that we'd have a way better shot of getting jarro in under the guise of starro, and if we did so the skin would be 100% guaranteed. Bearing in mind that if we push for jarro and they choose to include starro as the primary character we'll still get jarro, so it doesn't really matter and we're doing great as is

All the tiny starros starro makes are also just the exact same thing genetically, they're a hive mind, and can choose to send the extra size to whatever designated main unit they want. Starro would likely appear as a smaller, lighter fighter with a growth mechanic because of this and that would apply to a jarro skin as well. He functions the best as a quick-moving facesucker with telepathy to supplement that, same as he functions in the comics

They're pretty much the same as transformers, just way less popular

But now both are owned by Hasbro so I don't see why you'd be able to get one and not the other

GoBots was a transforming robots toyline that was made in 1983, a year before the transformers, but both toylines were rivals. They had a similar origin too, with them being americanized Machine Robo toys from Japan. And like I said before, they had a cartoon series made by Hanna Barbera called "Challenge of the GoBots". Its sales were declining and Transformers won, so Hasbro bought Tonka in the 90s and now GoBots characters appear in Transformers media.

Thanks for the GoBots explanations it was really helpful. What I don't get its this stupid (sorry if I offend anyone) Jarro character. In my opinion it is a waste of a character slot and would be much better filled by the likes of Malcolm Freburg (Survivor: Philippines, Survivor: Caramoan, Fans vs. Favorites, Survivor: Game Changers) Maybe that is just me but personally this jarro guy is just not prevalent enough to the warner bros brand. (@cloud cradle I'm fine just sharing my opinion.)

@onyx hound Thank you for the in depth explanation but I believe you severely missed the point of @slate iris and mines question. We obviously know what GoBots are (shown by my list (above)). We simply wanted to know what are GoBots. Like how do they work. They obviously need some sort of power source, and how do they not break apart. The whole show just seems so unrealistic to me. Especially in Episode 43 "The GoBotron Saga, Part 3: The Fall of GoBotron" When GoBotron sustains all of that damage and he still survives somehow. The whole thing just seems so fake to me.

Huh, I haven't watched the show so sorry. But being honest a Transformers 3rd party character can be possible considering that Transformers Animated was a Cartoon Network original and a lot of transformers cartoons were broadcasted in the channel

Survivor isn't prevalent to the WB brand, because doesn't WB own it. Y'all want to say Jarro, a character fully owned by WB is a waste of a slot "for not being prevalent to the warner bros brand" and brings up a character they don't even own. I would say I'm joking however this is not a troll. If we talk about character development Malcolm Freburg is far superior than this so called Jarro Character. So much so that Malcolm Freburg is considered (Spoiler Alert)

I'm clearing the air here, Jarro is a DC Comics Character, who is relatively recent. He is like the similarly named Starro The Conqueror (who was in the new Suicide Squad Movie). In the comics, Jarro was raised from a piece of Starro by Batman, and became his favorite Robin and key Justice League member, helping save the multiverse from The Batman Who Laughs in DC's Death Metal.

I know who Jarro is however I think you were wrong since he was actually raised by Iron Man and joined the Avengers in the latest Marvel Comic Civil War 3. That is probably why Jackson brought up the weird helmet as he had a very weirdly shaped Ironman helmet. Honest mistake don't worry about it 😄 .
