Jughead is a major character from Archie, a franchise that’s been around for 80 years. The comics were massively popular in the decades following their initial release and the characters have featured on TV and even have a billboards number one hit song! The series is relevant to this day with big new projects on the way and a TV series on air. It'd be amazing to have rep of.

As for their affiliation with WB? While not exactly WB-owned, they have their links - DC Comics characters and Archie characters cross over not that infrequently, with titles such as “Harley & Ivy Meet Betty & Veronica” and “Archie Meets Batman ‘66”. Additionally, Warner Bros. produces the live action drama Riverdale based on the Archie Comics characters, so the company works directly with Archie.

Why him specifically and not, say, Archie? Well, while many Archie characters could have brilliant movesets made for them, Jug just seems like the most zany and unconventional character from the main cast. He’s had so many iterations - he’s been a drummer, a painter, a biker, a superhero, a werewolf, a time traveler, the owner of an alternate-dimension diner and much more. These could lead to a varied set of moves that celebrates both the character and the history of the entire comic brand and all of its strange, strange sides while also being fun to play. He also has potential for alternative outfits. I can immediately think of at least

Just watched some Ben 10. That show is for toddlers. No adult themes and only little baby kids as the main characters. Maybe they want to attract a 3-5 year old audience for this game. Ben 10 would fit that age group.

I don't see what I'd be contributing as many other people have already specified this character, but ben 10 could be an interesting character, I'm not talking about the original or anything (and while that is my preferred version) i do believe that if ben 10 were to be added it would most likely be the reboot, which I'm totally fine with. perhaps the original design for a skin or smth idk, maybe I'm pushing it a bit too much haha.

I agree with @slender flame the PTE way they did where every combo changes his aliens would be best in my opinion, but I can see how creating all those alien models could be a big challenge. Bare bones, I'd even be fine if they only added one playable alien, to have 'Ben' in there, but as one form. Whichever would represent him best. Maybe Heatblast, Swampfire, Feedback, or Alien X. Just anyone but Four Arms.

@small roost If it was Ben, any of the different Bens would be great as alt skins. Starts with Ov, and UAF, Classic, and Reboot could be alt skins. Or something fun, like Plumber Suit, UltraBen, Albedo, etc. But that would also raise the question of the aliens would change depending on the skin, too, but that's something understandable if they had to ignore that because Ben having different aliens is a lot of models already. But I agree that if it was playable aliens, aliens sharing powersets would be perfect for alt skins of each other.

Jughead Jones (Archie Comics) - one of my favorite fictional characters + could reasonably make it in? + banger design + amazing moveset and alternate outfit potential
Sabrina the Teenage Witch (Archie Comics) - p much my secondary pick, same reasoning as Jughead but replace "favorite character" with "witch, so cool magic moves"
Ben Tennyson (Ben 10) - I'm not a huge Ben 10 fan tbh, not too knowledgeable on the series, but I think the transformation mechanic would be very nice and again, banger designs

i just wanna say again that i do agree with ben being his own and beast boy being his own, but sometimes theres characters that dont need a slot but should be in the game. thats where alt skins can come in. and the same franchise? again with my point with mortal kombat examples there being baraka (killer croc), Noob Saibot (Batman Who Laughs) kitana (catwoman) Geras (darkseid) those characters dont need to be in mortal kombat but they are because of the alt skins idea. I actually don't think those two situations equate very well, but the Teen Titans do have their own justifications to get in. Every instance of them has been a hit...I think. At least the cartoons.

I think Helga just makes more sense to want to be in a fighting game. Arnold doesn't seem like a fighting type of guy.

Adding Lily instead of Maxwell would literally just be giving Scribblenauts representation while also leaving out what makes Scribblenauts Scribblenauts, which is the ability to create anything. Also, I don't think this is what you had in mind, but giving Lily the notebook would just feel like they are needlessly forcing something that could easily just be Maxwell with a Lily alt.

True, that does sound quite good. Imagine, you use a team-up ability, and then pop the slowdown ability. Your teammate is safe, and able to react to any ""flying"" enemies you send to them due to the time slowdown, and you can much more easily just wail upon your opponents without needing to worry as much. Ideally that would make the slowdown useful for rushing opponents, and as added utility, allow you to (safely) regroup with your teammate, letting you strategize as much as is needed by simply using the slowdown and then re-charging the meter(maybe put this in and require damage to be dealt outside slowdown to balance out the immense power of slowing down time for everyone else?) and would help you constantly recharge said slowdown meter (maybe also count half the damage dealt by your teammate toward the meter, could be interesting if you were to tag-team an enemy for extra meter. Would keep both sides on their toes because nobody knows when the meter will fill since it's completely relying on damage dealt) On the other hand, enjoy the reading assignment.

the thing drains on how much damage anyone on the team has dealt is good and it still would over time (but i feel like making the damage done by the teamate 3/4 of what it would count if flash did might be more balanced but either way if flash has a hard hitting pal then the meter is gone in one hit). but if the flash who activated it (and only the flash who did) gets hit then the thing cancels out entirely (again only if the flash does get hit since if the teammate does then the thing keeps draining over time as usual)

For Ben it already gets difficult with which Ben you're choosing but if you've already had plans laid out for him then it would probably be easy, since you have it narrowed down to the Ben you're using and his aliens (which make up his moveset).

Ben 10 was the best character in Punch-Time Explosion from memory. Since WB have loads of characters across a large library of movies. games, tv shows and cartoons to choose from, i don't think non-WB stuff is needed honestly.

I know that I have said it before but I will explain it this time. During the golden years, Lego Bionicle had comics that were essential to get the full story. The publishers for these comics were DC and they made comics for Bionicle for almost 10 years. Warner Bros has shown concept art for the Lego movies and during the second ones writing period, a bionicle was considerd to be part of the movie. Having a bionicle rep in this game would be a gamechanger, the Bionicle community would love it and Lego knows that is the only thing fans want is to share the story, characters and world of Bionicle to more people. Toa Tahu would be an awsome choice, with him being the face of the franchise. Please consider Bionicle, let the legend live again

Well i remember as a teenager in the 2000's when Ben 10 came out how quick the show became popular. The fact Ben 10 got 3 characters and 2 versions of Ben Tenneson in Punch-Time Explosion says something about how much people loved the show.

Personally Ben 10 isn't a show i would have clamoured for even though i liked it back in the day and since i expect Ben 10 has already been chosen for this game and i am old school, so old Cartoon Network from the 90's and earlier, Hanna-Barbera & Adult Swim is what i have the most nostalgia for. Samurai Jack was my jam in the 2000's.
