Ice King/Simon Petrikov.

This could incorporate a lot more of the ice/freeze effect into the game. (I have several ideas so I’m gonna rant)
He would be a mage (obviously)
Most of his wizards based attacks would apply freeze.
Maybe a crown attack where the throws his crown. And he slowly becomes weaker the further get gets from his crown, or he unable to preform his spell based attacks without the crown. (Which would make him more balanced).
Eventually he would turn into Simon with a long enough time period without the crown. Turing into more of a just a basic guy, no specials or anything. This allows Ice King to be pretty balanced while still being strong. Also another idea would be at a high enough percentage his crown would fall of or it would fall off if he gets too much knock back, so that way he would still be balanced without people using the crown move. Nobody else can pick up the crown, but they can knock it off the stage, if that happens, Ice King automatically turns into Simon, and the crown respawns after a certain amount of time.

I mean, it kinda depends -- On the "Park in Space" arc of the show, Rigby punches Benseon really hard and he wasnt as weak as he was then AND unless they reference the whole "death kwon do" move, it would make another great moveset. Rigby would probably go for different set of moves like Morty is by a long run.

Zatanna could have a unique mechanic about changing form. She would have two forms one for stage performance that is focused in projectiles and tricking the enemy (teleport maybe) and other as a mage focused in magic of short and medium range.
Pearl would have graceful movements like ballet using spear and sword.

Let's see, who would I like to see in MultiVersus...

Samurai Jack for sure, along with other Cartoon Network characters. Maybe throw in some love for Codename: Kids Next Door and throw in one or more characters from Sector V. Would also be cool to see Courage the Cowardly Dog, Ben 10, and Generator Rex in as well.

While it would be cool to see Lord of the Rings characters in the game, I'm not sure it would be very practical. Then again, we do have Game of Thrones in it already...

DC characters...meh, wouldn't say no to characters like Martian Manhunter showing up. I would normally suggest Teen Titans, but they'd probably go with the Teen Titans Go versions rather than the far superior OG show versions, so...yeah.

Looney Tunes characters? Give me more of those. Give me Daffy Duck, Wile E Coyote, Sylvester, and more.

Finally, throwing RWBY characters out there because why not? Ruby Rose for sure, but also would be fun to see Sun show up as well. Ironwood would be great to see too, but highly unlikely that he'll ever be considered.

But yeah, that's my wishlist off the top of my head right now.

Bruiser: Supergirl (DC Comics)
Assassin: Scorpion (Preferably Hanzo Hazashi but I guess Kuai Liang would work too) [Mortal Kombat]
Mage/Ranged: Wile E. Coyote (Looney Tunes)
Tank: King Leonidas I (The 300)

hidden panther Flash with reverse flash, zoom, black lantern flash and savitar as skins

So many characters could be variants like reverse flash for flash, batgirl for batman, albedo for ben, fiona for finn and supergirl for superman this would save alot of slots for uniqueness in the roster

Supergirl and Superman fight very differently thank you very much.

Supergirl is more aggressive of a fighter while Superman would prefer to not fight, but if he has to will tend to try and end things quickly/with as little violence as possible.

Think of it like Omni-Man and Homelander in MK1. Same powers (roughly) different play style and feel

Also iirc all the Premier Skins (Cake, Fern, Batman Who Laughs) are of similar proportions to their base skin counterparts

Supergirl and Superman as well as Batgirl to Batman are too different to actually make sense without making them look weird and whacky

Yh I guess certain characters like you mentioned could be their own fighters but where it makes sense I wouldn't mind variants
