For Wonder Woman some of the most common are 1) a random god/diety has appeared and she must use her ZERO knowledge of the world to fumble her way to victory and magically defeat them (usually she gets her butt kicked a few times to make the villain seem stronger)
2) insert love, emotions, or some other arbitrary feeling that Diana is randomly experiencing and now she’s on a quest for said emotion and in her journey she encounters a random assortment of villains who are supposed to help her learn something and by the end of the run nothing really was accomplished
3) Amazon BS by now she has no reason to go back but every now and then “she’s called back home to face a threat” or “the amazons will be tested” or “it’s time for Diana to prove herself” these go exactly as expected and have a million “battles” but are usually boring from jump
4) Mans World BS like I said she been off the island for HUNDREDS of years and yet she’s as dumb as rock (for comparison she’s been in man’s world longer than both Batman and Superman) due to this Ignorance she ends up fighting monsters or allegories for human nature and the comic is filled with cheesy dialogue about Man and Man’s World and Society and Truth and Justice …….. oh yes please lecture me on the ways of the world when you don’t even have a voter’s license and can’t work a blender
5) team up these are actually not bad but they’re used a lot and nothing comes of it examples Harley should’ve been her sidekick but they did nothing with it Yara should’ve took her place but she basically Donna #2 Cassie is better off in her solo stuff she didn’t do anything when she was with WW Nubia basically became Queen of the amazons as if anyone cared (it was pandering but that’s a different discussion) and then her team ups with other heroes usually don’t have any payout it’s borderline an Elseworlds issue

WW has thrived in Dark Knights Steel, Vampires, and the Dark Metal because they completely deviated from all these formats and some of them were villains but it was still good
