Finally got around to seeing Love and Thunder. Don't think it was good as Ragnarok, but definitely had its share of good moments. Wish we saw more of Gorr, though. I'd give it a 7.5/10.

Just saw Black Adam.
Film has good ideas and some cool presentation, but I don't know if it was just a "me" thing, but the film feels like it moves at a million miles an hour without much time to breathe between scenes. I do like action scenes, but the lack of moments of calm between them makes the film feel a bit, I don't know, hurried? Film would definitely benefit from being a lot calmer in tone, giving characters more time to speak and interact. Maybe it's a DC film thing and my lack of expertise in the field is my reason for thinking the way I do, but don't know.

Stranger things is a Netflix show set in the 80’s. I forgot the characters names but they play dungeons and dragons in the basement. While playing dungeon and dragons one of the main characters rolled a bad number making the demagorgan attack him in the game. He puts the dice the right way which makes the monster not hurt him. Later on when he gets to his house he tells his other friend he landed a bad roll and the demagorgan got him. When he gets to the house the demagorgan is literally there and kidnaps him from inside the shed. His friends try to find them but while trying to find them they meet a girl otherwise known as 11. Doesn’t have a name since she was an experiment since she had supernatural abilities that evil people wanted.

Today I watched the Mario movie. It’s amazing visually and the plot is great. The subtle and obvious nods to the older games are great. If y’all are Nintendo fans or geeks then go watch this movie. It’s worth it.

DK (Arcade) then DK Jr. and then finally DK (Gameboy) which featured Mario developing more acrobatic skills, instead of being a fat little plumber
After going through numerous worlds and fighting DK on the way, he eventually saved Pauline and came across a mysterious pipe, which transported him into what is literally World 1-1 from SMB
So Mario technically always had a backstory, although I'd personally consider DK as the first saga if you will, not a backstory
