you level up by getting the rift cauldrons

also, there are 3 daily rewards on each type of rifts, try to complete them on the highest difficulty available
and there is a daily gem on the store, free to claim

rift cauldrons = star meter
try to complete the side objectives on the rift levels to earn more stars
for instance, the star meter caps at 90 stars on the joker rift
