Equal skill match making sucks
Two works NERF FINN
I feel like there should at least be basic perks you start off with, so you're not dead in the water if you wanna try a new character.
Or at least allow perk yoinking at lvl1, so you don't annoy your teammate. 8)
This is simple, but what if we have one stage for each character or one stage per series if possible? (Also Zoot Suit Tom & Jerry if possible)
I think Jake needs a pretty big nerf, hes able to I-Frame with literally all his abilities. The horse ability is I-Framed as well so u have no choice but to get hit by it. As well as him having a huge amount of range and a very fast attack speed.
Bugs bunny is pretty broken from what ive gone up against too, hes able to just spam his abilities making him super safe with an overload of harass
So far I am loving the game and I cant wait for more of it to be shown and made better over the next couple of months before release, but personally I have some nit picks that can easily be added into the game or at least be given the idea for. Now as someone who has played a good majority or fighting games like this one ( ||aka Super smash bros and others games like that.|| ) I personally think that the blocking can use a bit more of a touch up, when i'm fighting I feel like whenever I do dodge it just doesn’t seem as responsive as I would like it to, and from another er message I saw on here I think some form of shielding would be a great addition to the gameplay. Another thing for me is the unbalanced matching I seem to always have, since the characters have perks that can be added it seems kinda unfair for someone who is trying out a new character and then they face against someone who has been using another character for a long time and have a bunch of perks with them. maybe a form a skill based matching AND some form of match making fro character levels would also be nice but i'm not sure if it is possible. small nit pick but I would like if characters have a run as well, to me they just seem slow and I'm looking for some fast paced fighting. One last thing to add is that with my gameplay experience button actions and other things like that seem slow, obviously this isn’t a game breaking issue but I would also like to be able to fight fast as well if that makes sense. So far the game is super fun and all the potential it brings is really exciting to see. I cant wait to see and play more of the game as it goes and to eventually purchase it when its fully released.
We just need balance changes later, besides bugs bunny and jake being overpowered. Its a good game
Finn is literally the most overpowered character alongside Harley Quinn. Whatever that stupid thing is that stuns you and makes you lose control of your character.. needs to go

Tom and Jerry are perfectly fine
The game has a ton of promise and plays a lot better than actual seeing it. However there are some things like the jumping that feel pretty dang clunky. Like for example, when you reach the apex of your jump and subsequent double jump, it feels as if you dont naturally go back down, rather it feels like you hit a ceiling before coming back down abruptly. Thatd be one of the first things I'd work to improve. I assume that since it is an alpha, things will indeed get ironed out as the game evolves and I genuinely look forward to it.
Tom and Jerry are very cool, but also a bit undercooked. When Tom launches Jerry and is able to throw tennis balls at him, i feel the hit box on Jerry's swing should be a lot bigger, giving him a way to defend himself if someone is near and also allow for set ups. It'd also be cool if Jerry's tennis racket swing also knocked back tom's dynamite, to allow for more wacky interactions with it. You'd prolly have to make the dynamite last longer to do this though but not by too much. One last thing for the tennis racket is that the balls when hit from Jerry's side should be able to do knock back. A trade off being that it's not as easy to hit the balls back as they'll disappear if they hit an opponent but it'll make it a very strong wall.
The fishing rod for tom feels so dang useless. It's slow and the angles you're able to throw it at are rad but don't make up for the fact it's extremely slow and clunky to use. A good buff for it would be able to to do damage on the reel in as well, not just when you land it. Against a good player who is constantly going to be rushing you, mis-inputing rod is a death sentence
It'd be cool if the cork from Jerry's champagne bottle didn't automatically disappear on a timer, rather when it hit's the ground or wall it does.

pc servers are kinda dying too, i got off cuz of the lag. trying to keep my top 200 ranking on velma isnt very easy when i can barely move around
and maybe its just me, but the buffer system in this make makes me misinput specials alot more than anything else

I feel like the game is a bit stiff when it comes to air movement. Like you stop all momentum when you use aerials and I feel like it need more adjustment.
Also theres no option to save replays
shes very strong, she just plays a bit differently from other characters so alot of people aren't noticing unless they put the time in

reindog + taz is the most annoying matchup to play against
I think battle pass progression speed is perfect just the challenges are pretty awful. Things such as use no perks which just nerfs you for a whole game and pisses off your team mate and some asking you to play someone else
characters keep getting stuck in floor in the lab. its not a huge issue but its just something i found
Music lacks punch. I assume its just placeholder. Themes that really capture the vibe of the characters and is togglable before playing in a match would be great. Part of the charm of crossover fighters is the wide variety of music or stylings you can pull from each respective franchise. Imagine chaotic big band music for T&J, That strange type of action music Adventure Time is known for, Chiptune mixed with stellar piano from Steven Universe. I hope the OST 's full potential is reaches.
Sound Effects are great but could also use a bit more impact in general
I mean to don’t really have to have the perks to win though. That was one of the easiest battle pass challenges in a game IMO
There is some adventure time music and the batman theme is there but yet definitely not very impactful

Just do those kind of challenges in a 1v1 so it’s quicker
perks arent a baseline mechanic, they're minor buffs that don't have a massive effect on gameplay in most scenarios, and you don't even start out with them unlocked. you could just play various characters you haven't tried much for it, which is what i did. then, im not irritating my teammate, generally match against people that also would not have perks (or not many), and completed it really quick
Obviously it's still early in development but I belive that some characters like Finn,Quinn,Superman need some tweeking (and Taz but he's still experimental) I've sunk in around 5+ hours and fighting against them is just never fun superman you just have to time any superarmor attack and you don't have to worry about anything, Finn doesn't need that much kill power for doing that much damage I belive he should rely on BMO, and I think Quinn needs some hitbox changes since some are dumb.

Its completely different when its something you can't control like playing a new character but when that isn't an option say later in the games lifespan, you shouldnt have to actively nerf yourself. I disagree with the statement that perks have very little effect in gameplay. Id argue thats borderline wrong
you're telling me that dealing 5% more damage on grounded moves that cause knockback has a massive effect on gameplay? or dealing a flat 1 extra damage when hitting someone off the floor or a wall? like, they're nice to have, and definitely help you win, but they arent THAT impactful. they're just.. well, what they're called. perks. small ones, at that
even tho this has its bad sides to it, its still amazing for it just being a closed beta

Perks that give you block points for projectiles, more dash invulnerability, block points on respawn, a literal EXTRA JUMP for a game about movement don't affect gameplay are you high?

wow, i don't take damage from 1 projectile. wow, i get 10% more invulnerability on a dodge, a dodge that is already very quick, so at most it adds maybe what, a 10th of a second more invuln? take less damage for 5 seconds once a match? maybe twice, if you're playing 2's? an extra jump after landing an aerial, which in the long run isnt super useful unless 2 people are using the perk. i mean, one extra jump MAYBE lets you kill off the top a bit earlier? it isnt useful for ledge guarding someone, since the walls go all the way down, not like you'd have much trouble making it back then. and if you're close enough to the stage to hit your opponent when you're recovering, you're going to make it to the wall regardless 99 times out of 100. those perks, while all being USEFUL, are not INCREDIBLY IMPACTFUL.
Literally ignoring the fact these percentages can go up to 15/20 % and the seconds go to 4 and apply buffs to you AND your team mate. Simple fact is you added ANY of the perks i mention to any Smash character it would be INSANE. Delusional take
As a casual the game is crazy fun, the fact that people can't chat makes it feel less toxic, which encourages me to play more
Imagine Jigglypuff landing a single forward air and getting an extra jump because of it. Some perks are fantastic. All of the zoning perks are amazing for T&J. But i do agree they arent game breaking which thank god
15/20% is still nothing on a dodge that lasts less than a second. negligible. 4 seconds is no time at all, you could get decent damage out then but having armor for that period of time is not going to save you from much, very niche.
A lot happens in the span of a couple seconds
against a competent player, how much damage are you going to get off in the 4 seconds between you respawning and losing your armor?
Legit just cherry pick and ignoring the fact people would flip if 1 character for some reason had a 20% more invul dodge than everyone else. Remember you can equip 3 AND get benefits from allys ones aswell so upwards of 3-4 buffs. And you argue they aren't impactful and playing without makes no difference?
thats not the block im talking about. Steven can move around while he blocks etc Im talking about a guard a universal guard.

Tiny bits and pieces of added percent genuinely add up over the course of a match. It doesn't seem like it does but it really REALLY does
@shadow drift I personally don't think the game is remotely built for a block button. The game would need a vast rework. Its definitely charring at first but i think the main defense is movement and dodging
dodge armor perk is pretty broken tho, "your team receives armor for 1 second after successfully neutral dodging a projectile" "3 seconds if your ally also selects this perk"

every shaggy main i face in 1v1 always uses the sandwich so that perk will be so helpful
half a second to 1 second is like an eternity in fighting game time. I think Bugs' lasting kiss is a good example of this. It may not stun for as long but its literally an idle piece of stage control he can just use. If you get hit, that 1 second is all he needs to get in and combo ya

Also has one that heals you and your team mates grey health which means that with some comps you like tom and wonder woman, her whole character is about building grey hp and tom heals her using projectiles

all these perks can be broken if you use them with things that also go with it
but its built around characters getting nerfed to the ground? They have heavies, projectile characters and faster characters. It need a guard or else when people get close to each other it becomes a mash fest. And the moving and dodging in this game isnt defense. Its offense especially since it helps you attack faster and move around the staage better
i think at least iron giant needs a block, hes a giant punching bag and what would dodging do for him
I feel this game could work without too much tweaking if it used a parry system similar to rivals of aether. Have a neutral air dodge, but on the ground, neutral dodging is replaced with a parry. That game is all about using movement as defense AND offense. I could see Multiversus handling the idea pretty well
I think block is to be given to characters specifically for countering scramble like wonder woman steve superman
not as in block the mechanic but hyper armour and shields etc
Blocking I think is too awkward for a game as fast as this. Overdoing armor can also be annoying for those who dont have good means of dealing with it and can lead to stall fests

nah but one of the most overpowered perks is the stronger than ever, if your teamate also uses it thats 7 seconds of armor
There are so many ways they could have block on this game without it being too op or something. They could have directional guard that way you cant block 2 people at the same time.
I think balancing around that is the play though IMO. Could be improved on but a block button isn't it

i still think adding a good parry is the key to balancing over extension and close quarters scenarios
i used all 3 dodge perks with finn and i was zooming across the map
no wonder woman and Steven is more like a move than a block. Its not like you can sit there and shield and then punish with a move. And yes even a parry would be nice. This game just focus too much on the offense. Even when youre feeling pressured you just spam dodge and mash

He can easily spam his tornado and since there's no block it's hard to deal with
taz is really polarizing
he has one really good move and the rest of his kit is mediocre
as long as you space out the tornado you just win

all the jakes i face are spammers. do that weird stretch in air then come down as a house. its annoying because you cant attack their body when theyre stretching so you have to counter when they hit the ground

Keeping dodge invincibility into attack was a mistake
Kinda wish they'd just kept smash's central moveset with specials, smash attacks and dash attacks. Only having dodges just promotes flailing, the i-frames on the dodge are ridiculous
and you keep Iframes during your move if you dodge cancel*

It's crazy. I'm also having a really hard time replicating what move beats what.
I feel like me and my opponent just run and each other because trades are so inconsistent you can't really figure out counterplay
and perk with 10% longer dodge invincibility, and Jakes dodge goes way further then most of the cast, and jakes attacks disjoint and go further then the rest of the cast
that mechanic is busted but he can abuse it the most

I dont think there's any weight behind anything in this either, but at least in NASB I didn't feel like I was fighting through maple syrup. That's just my experience thus far.

NASB has loads of issues don't get me wrong, but tight movement was not it. Moving around in that game felt great.
But that I disagree with i had 8 hours in the game and idk if I just didn't play enough but it didn't feel good that much like yeah wavedashinf is cool but like I didn't like the dashing and stuff
naw this game feels pretty bad at times especially when characters get bundled up together mashing and when you get knocked back.
That's fair, I like snappy movement and it's a huge priority for me since the reason I like Smash is the spacing games. Spacing games in this game feels really sluggish and it just kinda devolves into throwing out your disjointed hitboxes and hoping for the best.
Also the amount of air drift is ridic lol
I mash Dodge all the time when they bundled up and it’s hard to get out of attacks as Bugs

See what I mean... Theres a lot of stuff that needs to be done. The hit boxes are cluncky, the game is still glitchy, the universal defensive options are non existent. Idk I still love the game. And they have a lot of potential but to me this is nowhere near done..... Maybe by the end of the year or early next year. But in a month or 2???? naww

I mean the game is going to be released in July unless they decide it's a smart idea to delay it. I feel like the game is is a decent starting position for a release but over time they slowly keep building the game. I think if the game is playable without it being not fun at all or just a terrible experience I think it would be a decent idea to release it and I mean hey it is F2P

though spot dodge is legit a terrible option, there needs to be a way to make it so you aren't immediately punished for successfully spot dodging
there is aleady an over use of dodge penality it just is so hard to actually reach it
Also iunno if this is the rollback or not but I've had a really tough time consistently using my reflects on projectiles. Feels like sometimes I just get hit anyways?

bug's charmed needs a duration nerf, he shouldnt be able to take a wrong turn at albuquerque, go back, go the wrong way again and finally reach his destination, and still have time to land a full force smash attack. Especially for a projectile that stays on the stage for a good 3-5 seconds
This game won't come close to replacing smash without ultimate abilities, that's my take

There simply isn't enough variety to the fights right now. The length of the fights need to be halved to remain fun imo. Ideally add ultimate abilities so you can have more fun with it along with random items that add spice to the gameplay

The latter might be a good argument but just do it better than smash and balance them. I'm not sure how we can talk about poor balancing resulting from potential ultimates when you have Taz spinning, the stretchy guy turning into a horse constantly and similar overpowered abilities

I really can't fathom how this game gets so much praise when it's lacking in something I think is quite standard
I mean replacing is maybe a little harsh, but having other games that feel as amazing as smash does would be great. In my opinion every smash-like has fallen short in the spacing/attack/defense balance.
At least they have better netcode though lol

Look guys, the current devs are doing the best they can to make this game despite not having fighting devs to help them, with all things considered they're doing a pretty good job so far. Just be a little more patient with them and support them with helpful constructive criticism. Game development and design isn't as easy as it looks you know.
Go watch Smash tournaments, see how many final smashes they use... Even casuals usually turn them off because it's too much happening on screen
Smash just feels so damn good even with the insane input buffer in Ultimate. Multiversus just feels kinda mushy in fights.
I've never known a single casual turn off smashes.
I play Smash competitive but i also casual with friends. They always ask me to turn those off
Honestly while some adjustments character specific are needed, i think the game plays fine.
if you wanna play smash, go play smash. id rather platform fighters not just Carcinisize into everything playing exactly like smash but with different characters, like its smash mod skins.
The appeal of games like this is the flashy over the top fun you can have. If you want a competitive no nonsense fighter go and play street fighter or KoF. This game has a good idea but feels like slapping eachother around for 20 mins with no payoff for me. I'll play it with some friends later but after that I think I'm done.
I agree on this, this game isn't meant to be a clone of Smash; rather it's it's a platformer fighting game but in their own style. Sure it has similarities to Smash, but if they put too much of it, they might be in a risk of being marked as a game that lacked creativity.
Hmmm, I think for me it's more that I want something to actually compete with smash, for me personally. I wish a smash-like would just come out with all the bells,whistles and really tight gameplay.
Don't get me wrong, multiversus is fun but I really do hope they tighten up certain aspects as some things are severely lacking, in my opinion. A little competition is always good.

I think Taz should get some sort of bonus for eating his opponent while they are a chicken. Maybe rapid heals or a damage boost or they take tons more damage from being chewed.
I dont even like Smash anymore because how bad Nintendo dont listen and the little support they had for smash. But the gameplay is way better on smash. They had actual fighting game devs help them. Thats why the game isnt clunky and feels good

My personal take, from the little I played: the game is very fun to play and trying characters. As a Smash competitive player since Brawl, it will probably take time to adjust to some non-common mechanics, but so far, I believe this game has the potential to be great both for casuals, since it has the lowest barrier of entry of the genre, being free to play, and each character's moveset don't seem as complex as other games in the genre, making it not a "chore" for people to learn, as well as having very recognizable characters in the roster as motivation, as it will be great for competitive too

yes, it is like smash because you knock your opponents off the screen. that is the only reason they say that. they don't play other platform fighters, it doesn't take much critical thought to understand that the comparison to smash is simply to make it easier for newer players to understand the general concept. i'm starting to believe you don't actually play smash or have ever played it, because there's almost nothing alike outside of the general premise of the game
Hitboxes in this game is generally a bit too forgiving. Often times there is an attack that looks like it hits in front also hits quite a significant distance behind too. Makes fighting some characters become very hard as the visual doesn't always tell the truth. Some hitbox tightening would be appreciated.

One normal attack button, hold a direction and it changes the normal attack to a different attack entirely. Not a sweep or a forward attack, it literally changes the whole move. Same goes for specials. That's smash

u are in the minority, for every 100 ppl i've played smash with only like 1 or 2 have final smashes enabled. almost everyone i know finds final smashes to be insanely unbalanced (which they are) and unfun.

So many moves feel sluggishly slow either for start up or in action, shaggy's falling slam down special falls way too slow and it feels impossible to land
and projectiles literally stop any character who doesnt have a good projectile in return in their tracks like shaggy, or finn.
its going to be a problem if projectiles stay this dominant, i think maybe giving some characters moves a projectile canceling property, or the ability to clash with projectiles to cancel them out but act as if the move as landed and stop, like shaggy's kick.
No nerfing this character or that character isnt gonna make the game good or better. Adding things changing UI, changing gameplay mechanics, adding effects, adding better defensive mechanics.

But this can literally be solved by adding a block fixing the clunkiness in the game etc not just nerfing characters.
You can change the UI so many ways its not even funny, i dunno what you mean by effects, a bunch of characters have effects and some perks even give characters special effects like ignite, and defensive mechanics arent the end all be all of platform fighters, rivals of aether doesnt even have shielding, it has a parry which honestly isnt much different than dedicated dodges that can be used to get advantage.
I think this mobility and air focus for a Platform fighter is great and shouldnt be massively changed, just the pieces already in it should be

there are still characters that suck and characters that are a bit too overtuned. they don't bother to fix that though. their idea of "balance" is making one trait of every character as toxic as possible. characters like dk and little mac are awful but if they get lucky and hit their cheese suddenly they could win the game. and i say that as a person who literally beat both the best dk and the best mac in tournament. it's why i stopped playing that game
Also, about the UI, just go to the settings and change it to however you want... I just chose Legacy mode and hit everything I wanted where I wanted

so saying what a game needs means its not a good game or fun?? More needs to be done with this game than just nerfs and buffs. I mean the game dont even feel complete yet. Some animations are even bad and literally no one ever talks about it. Just oh this character is broken this character needs nerfs buffs etc. Some sound effects sound like they took it right from Smash. And its hard to tell if you landed or not. Its hard to tell whats going on. And no one literally ever bring that up as a big deal. And its frustrating.
it took me approximately about 6 mins to try and kill this jake in 1v1s, we were both at a stale mate around 150 and it just came to a game of guessing. This isnt the only time this has happened in 1v1s either some moves just have 0 kill power in knockback now at high percent. Just please increase power with strong moves.

I think kill percent in general in this game is around 150, which is fine in a vacuum but it could be telegraphed better since the flames at 100 imply that kill percent starts there when it just doesn't
to be fair stuff like last stand activates at 100 which the flames act as a good marker if you miss the text flag, but since the number past 100 should be a good sign, its not that big a deal, and 100 is the point which down and up spikes become consistantly lethal

Not everybody has a Switch, not everybody has that much money to spend on the console + game, specially if they already own another one, not everybody knows that many videogame characters in order to feel attachment to them... But who doesn't know Batman or Bugs Bunny? I don't want a monopoly, I want alternatives, and if the barrier of entry is low in comparison, even better. More platforms, more players, more people getting in the genre, potentially more people trying out other games in said genre in the future, including Smash

Adding some type of shield on this game:
Stops faster characters (or characters in general) from mashing, Stop broken moves from being spammed, Stop projectiles from being spammed, and stop the messy hard to see encounters that happens up close in this game. Or people are just gonna keep asking for nerfs 24/7 with everyone because they have a good move.

I'd like to say that I fully understand that the game is in Alpha, these are just some suggestions and feedback.
The default controls are extreamly confusing for keyboard, I've changed mine yet still not really satisfied, I'd like to see more recommendations.

I know he is an experimental character but he is far from balanced, I'm sick of going into games and seeing that eye sore of a spin attack, all taz mains do is spam the same thing, I cannot counter it in any way, me and my friends went into a 1 v 1 lobby and couldn't find any way to counter his attack, even with ranged attack he can go straight back into the spin, please make a way to counter it or remove it completely, your game is fun, taz makes it a chore to play. yeah, it's ok to have a few bad characters, i just meant that all the "bad" characters can only win bc they have one overtuned gimmick. like mac ko punch, or dk grab. or ganon killing at absurdly low percents. rather than having overall tools to help them win, they are just terrible overall and have a single top tier trait.

The kill options feel super weirdly distributed in the game. Arya has close to no reliable kill options before around 150%, but Bugs Bunny's bat kills of the top at 80 for some reason. I feel like this is the biggest flaw in the game right now, I understand some characters are supposed to kill earlier than others but Taz and Arya don't feel like they belong in the same game when it comes to KO power (Taz tornado overall needs a nerf). TLDR: Balance out kill power across the roster.

Let us set controls on a character by character basis, some characters like batman, velma, and reindog have their jab and their nair as the same projectile and it makes using swap side and neutral attack very weird, but for most characters i like to have swap side and neutral enabled

There really needs to be more Tanks in the character roster. You can’t have a seasonal mission involving winning as a tank character if there’s not enough variety in said class.
And blocking needs to be tweaked here. There were many instances where I’ve seen the blocks be successful only for it to not a split second later.

When playing on my PS5 vs my PC, I constantly get booted off the server saying I lost connection but I have my PS5 hardwired vs PC that is wifi
For me, it feels like I have less control with my character on PS5 compared to PC. And I’m playing on a wired connection in both!
Really I don't have any latency on either connection I just keep getting booted off the server with a lost connection message on the PS5 when game launched it took me 8 mins to actually connect I know everyone was trying so I waited. Bit and then PC was fine

Few feedback points:
- Harleys sidespecial feels a bit awkward to me, as it has some charge-up & you can change it directions, while it's very hard to read when the dahs will be executed. She is already quite strong so not sure if decreasing the delay is a good idea, but one option could be to show a chargemeter (like when you charge up an attack), so you know when the dash will be executed and you can time inputting the right direction.
- Taz' tornado feels quite strong (especially in low-level). Have had multiple occasions where a Taz just tornados into you while he's right next to you, as in the chaos of the game, its hard to read that he's charging the tornado attack up. And even if you'd dodge it, it actually lasts long enough to still damage you. I think at least some sort of a sound queue when charging up could help countering it though.
I think the move could use some balancing overall as it doesn't feel very fun to play against, either because you get tornados from the other side of the stage or you're too late countering it. (Idk if increasing the windup time is a good idea though, as it might make it feel awkward/underpowered) - I feel like its kinda weird that Garnets downspecial can be picked up by your ally. I consciously place it at a certain position, but then my ally picks it up (prob without even realizing he did so) & my teleport spot gets displaced. Maybe require the ally to press a certain button to pick it up? Or let Garnet decide whether the ally should pick it up, by a certain input. Or even remove the normal placement and automatically place it on your ally when you use the ability (although I dont think she needs that nerf). Definitely think the ally-interaction is cool, I just think it can be a bit confusing and annoying that they can unconsciously pick it up with ease. Its also pretty hard to read they have picked it up (Maybe place the star symbol in/above them when they do).
- I also had a bug on the screen where you can claim a reward, where I was on the screen but also matchmaking, so when I clicked the claim-button it did nothing and I was stuck in the screen. Eventually it disappeared randomly before I got in the match-lobby, but just saying, as I don't know how it disappeared. So hopefully it wont stay on there forever for people.
Nerf Taz's tornado for the love of God, it doesn't have a cooldown, 0 recovery, a lot of active frames, you can control it in any direction, you have perks to upgrade it, it eject and stuns a LOT, it will kill you even if you are at 28% with reduced damage, the only way I see to counter it is going single vs Taz, dodging the tornado, and during the iframes, attacking it, or using projectiles
The game is over good for console but I’m not going to lie the game is kinda slow and laggy, and whenever I scroll through the battle pass that’s lines pop up and won’t leave
There should be something in the settings to change the border size the menus on the left and right are halfway off the screen for me
I think the screen zooms out too much which makes it hard to know what's going on sometimes. I think the camera zooming in closer to the action would be nice
Feedback!, I really like the gameplay but I struggle with ping issues in game and it feels glitchy in some ways. Eventhough there is no ping isssues you still bounce around a bit. I also feel like hitboxes have to be patched, I feel like you do not know if your gonna hit, or if your going to get hit by an attack.

The gameplay is so much cool and motivates you to play the game more, but some problems exists...
In some matches, characters become just invisible, like Taz, and others times, I'm just disconnected or straight up sucked to the ground, that affect the game a little bit to me...

Here's my feedback:
Positives:
-The game plays really well, the decision to focus on team play was a really good decision. It distinguishes it greatly from "the platform fighter with the plumber", and those differences are all positive.
-The combinations, perks and movesets are surprisingly deep. I felt like I was constantly discovering new and interesting ways to use the abilities, especially when used in conjunction with my team mate.
-The emphasis on voice acting was a really good decision. It breathes life into the game and makes getting new characters far more exciting.
-The animations and art style are top notch. Special shout out to Tom and Jerry, they are done so perfectly.
Cons:
-You should allow your party to remain a party in the lobby. Right now you have to disband and re-invite every time you change game modes.
-Taz is a really fun character but the spin move feels a little strong. It could maybe use a cool down as I felt my biggest issue was the ability to constantly spam it.

- The menu can feel slow to navigate on console as it feels it was made mainly with PC in mind
- The more variant skins the better! Would love to see a Sylvester and Tweety variant of Tom and Jerry
Overall I have adored what I've played so far, any cons I have are easy fixes. This game is fantastic and I truly believe with the right marketing push, this could be a phenomenon

The lobby/menu overall could benefit from a future overhaul. Navigation didn't feel very snappy. May get disagreement on this but the lobby in Fortnite is a good one to look at as it feels more like a home base rather than just a menu to get you to the game.
I'm seeing alot of what feels like registration not counting on some of the characters like superman who when fighting feel like they have an almost unfair advantage against any other character
But I am really enjoying the game and most things like that I am not too worried about because it is still an alpha

I feel like overall hit detection has been top tier, but twice now out of nearly 100 matches superman hitboxes have seemed a little odd, maybe its placebo but something to look into. And maybe up Arya's kill power nearly lost a match when i did 345 dmg and he did 190
Hit registration needs to be more consistent, in lab allow us to see hit boxes of each move for each character. Seems there is a bug where your character just falls off the stage even when you have jumps and dodges available. Shaggy feels very strong Arya feels like a wet noodle, maybe a small increase on her knock back would be enough

I think that Batmans batarang should bounce of Stevens shield and become the item (like when it hits the ground) instead of just dissapearing. Steven already almost invalidates Batmans nsp in 2s and this on top of that makes the mu misserable as your neutral ALSO gets nullified in this regard.

Taz's reflector tornado should probably have a unique color to better signify it in battle. When fighting two Taz's with different nados it nearly impossible to distinguish which one can be punished with projectiles in a pinch
down air has to much hitstun. if you get hit off stage, they can just keep down airing and you die at zero

idk if this is an intentional thing but where tom uses the fly fisher perk, it drags tom towards where the hook lands, regardless weather he is off or on stage. i think it would be a good idea to have the option to do so, instead of being dragged towards where the hook lands i might want to reel the hook back in to fetch jerry or something

It's too floaty, the characters need big time gravity improvements across the board. One of the biggest reasons NASB failed is because it's too floaty

I will also like to agree with the feedback that the UI feels sluggish like it was designed for mouse navigation.
I could nitpick other things but none of them are as obvious, relevant, or important as the float. It makes the game feel sort of like, brawlhalla or something which is a terrible example of a platform brawler to follow

I guess some minor things to mention which are likely just polish issues due to alpha, but hits and stuff don't feel... great all the time. It's kind of hard to tell what's going on sometimes just because the way hits are being registered are rendered or something idk how to explain it but it makes combos feel kind of weird to execute, while at the same time it feels like I can easily just mash and win every game by spamming
Think there should be a way to have tilt attack and charged neutral attack be separate buttons since it's almost that anyway with neutral attack mapped to right bumper. That way hitting x without a direction could just be a normal attack and for me at least there would be fewer accidental neutrals.
i am getting alot of lag for sum reason when i dont paly with my friend like i feel like im playing in slow motion, like for sum reason its even so bad its unplayable
the 300 assists mission should be changed to 100. its really hard to get them since i believe they need to be in hitstun then die to a teammate. so change it to something like 5 seconds after you hit them, if your teammate rings them out its an assist. i believe down air attacks have too much hitstun off stage, some characters can chain them and kill at 0. i found it hard to reflect bugs' safe as tom, and i dont believe you can reflect the rocket(probably intentional, but just letting you know in case its not).
the character models have very odd textures on xbox series s for me, jake becomes completely gray, finn grows a strange white line on his chest, and everyone has really blurry textures, the text alignment for perks also messed up when trying to look at them in a match sometimes, which makes it unreadable

Quick suggestion: when you're doing a rematch or just generally coming out of a fight, pressing the "start game" button should immediately select which character you played as last, instead of having to move the cursor all the way back down to that character.
Or, alternatively, just let the cursor start over the character you picked last when you go back to the select screen.

I wish the layout of the roster was different. For example, Bugs Bunny should be on the left of Shaggy as well as Tom & Jerry since both are the classics of WB while the DC characters could be more together rather than be top row or bottom.

Balancing aside, Game presentation is top notch, visual choice was a good way to blend all those characters into the same universe. Voice Acting is amazing too. Details like the interactions between characters and Tom's ringout screams are icing on the cake.

If you make a custom game you can have up to 4 stocks. Since games typically work on a best of 3 system thats a total of 8-12 stocks per game.

This game is fire. In the finished version I would like to see the option of binding directional attacks/specials to keys, atleast on a keyboard. And maybe give pad players the option of using d-pad for movement.
Bugs Bunny spinning punch combo and his Kiss attack need a range buff. They are both so incredibly short range that it's beat out by pretty much every other attack in the game.
And why does the heart need to be a charge if it won't even extend it's range. I was right next to a Superman and it STILL missed him. So please Buff Bugs
i believe there is an issue with staling in 2v2s. lets say i get hit by taz tornado twice. his team mate shaggy, then proceeds to hit me with 3 different moves. next time i get hit by taz tornado, its not stale. i dont know if this is actually happening. but i keep running into teams who spamming moves(which is fine), but the arent staling for some reason.

i have got to say, initially i was excited but skeptical. however the game is REALLY fun. for starters id really like to say that the way that the characters are made is top notch. (aside for some complaints i have with taz). superman feels heavy and has a lot of oomph to his hits, batman is light and maneuverable, jake feels wobbly and stretchy when he moves especially when you do his up special. the game is also very smooth and the rollback netcode does wonders. the perk system is also VERY creative and i enjoy the system a lot, and i also have a dozen questions now because im excited for whats to come with the game.
there are some minor complaints i have regarding the balance, but i do understand this is an alpha version and that things are still being fixed.
the game looks VERY promising, and i will continue to report things i find.

not really. as much as it seems op its not, the hitbox is too small to defend yourself from any kind of hit so people just end up getting free combos on you if you arent careful. and its not very good at moving around quickly so its hard to land unless you just use it airborne.

Batman needs a buff. Doesn't have much range besides the grappling hook, which doesn't have a lot of power to it. Taz also needs a nerf for the hit priority of his tornado. Some of the hit boxes for Taz and Shaggy also seem a little funky, like Shaggy's down smash. Wonder Woman could use more power/oomf in her side smash.
Not all character's moves should have cooldowns. It would become harder to play since I would have to be careful with using the moves

The only issue with Taz's spin is the hit priority. A lot of times it feels like it kinda just sucks you in and you can't get a hit in. It's not too bad though, just needs a small tweak.

i think the tornado should get a rework instead of just minor number changes. you should be able to stay in the tornado for longer, cuz like you said it basically defines taz, they should make it so that taz is able to move around in it like he can outside of tornado (granted with some hindrances like smaller jump height and slightly reduced speed). as for when you have the reflector perk, just make it so that he has less movement speed.

i mean this games kill percent is much larger than smash, as its usually 120-150 for consistant kill moves. so i see the argument having the blastzones closer is a good thing, but with how easy it is to kill off the top especially via stage bounce i think its a fair argument that maybe raising the ceiling is a good idea
BTW Im not saying superman should be nerfed. I think superman is actually really weak. I just think maybe blast zones could be a bit higher

More custom match options would be nice like toggle items, ringout limit in FFA, unlimited time in FFA, unlimited ringouts in teams and 1v1. Also, spots in custom matches for spectating.
Gamemodes wise i think with how characters play, some character specific ones would be cool. Like Safe Volleyball where everyone is bugs and has to hit a safe back and forth to keep it from landing

Shaggy had to be nerfed, Harley had to be buffed (they over buffed her in my opinion), steven got model adjustments and was made a bit more powerful, garnet had her strongs dialed back, and a ton of costumes were cut, not to mention a ton of perks were adjusted. Yeah they shouldnt remove perks but to argue that adjustments cant be made is ridiculous

I think devs should focus on some of the more technical side of the game. Like why is there no pause screen?? That's such a basic thing to add yet this game doesn't have one...

Also labbing with this game is extremely difficult. The menu is weird to work with and a lot of information that you need is not present at all. I would like to see hitboxes. I would like to see frame counts. I would like to see frame advantages.
Also the UI in general is confusing to navigate. Primarily the matchmaking queue. Like it took me a while to realize that im selecting multiple different gamemodes to queue up for.

I feel like the most annoying thing right now is people quitting the instant they lose a game, there's no penalty currently to discourage it and it's even more annoying when everyone else wants to continue. It also makes getting the "play full games" achievement more difficult than it should be
You don't need over 60 anyway.It's not a fps shooter like cs:go or valorant.Meaning having over 60 fps won't change your in game performance much.They should focus on other basic things rather fps advantage for people with a high end personal computer.

If the maps are smaller they have to make the characters smaller due to their own size.
"it won't be as fun" It doesn't change anything but give you stat boosts "boy", it doesn't add any element. It just gives you a stat boost over someone who possibly doesn't. It's a clutch. If you can't figure out ways to make your own move set more fun in a game like this without stat boosts, that's on you.

Perks don't really affect the game that much if I'm being honest (except bugs bunny's perks which IMO are really op). And if you really feel like you're at a disadvantage you can always grind up against bots
PLEASE add a cooldown to most of the WB choices, IMO none of them have it and can spam all the time, garnets takes forever and is fine to play with, but if I play against a superman main or a T&J main, they spam everything even as a new player

After having a chance to play this game, I still echo what I've said before. Firstly, as a viewer, someone who watched players play this on twitch, I kind of feel the game isn't fun to watch right now. The way I see it, each characters moves don't have the greatest telegraphy or keyframing, and it's often hard to tell what's going on in a match, particularly for viewers. It's hard to tell the difference between weak hits vs strong hits, as every move seems to have the same audio and visual cues for different hit strengths. I think the animations need more speed and snappiness, and make more use of squash-and-stretch principles. For example, Arya Stark's sword thrust in this video is visually unimpressive, as she just sort of glides forward with no acceleration or momentum. Many moves in the game suffer from this kind of animation, and I think making the animations clearer, faster, more impactful, and more readable is something necessary going forward, not just for the viewers but also for the players. https://streamable.com/nq3uqc

- we need a flat and a triplat stage, the game is too pretty for players to have to play the training grid online

- instant rematch would be great, wastes a lot of time to go to character select after every match. Instead of the options being “rematch or leave” they should be “rematch, character select, or leave”. FFA mode kinda blows, wanted to do a 1v1v1 with some friends but game forces a bot to join so there can be 4 players—also no option for stock battle or to turn off items? Hope this gets looked at when the game releases for more customizable battles.
I personalty love the perk system but find it quite annoying to switch between them when i play with different friends a build system would be a good addition to the game so you can switch between different builds more easily
I would like to see hit detection improved upon (probably is a priority already) and I would like player collision, it's too easy to be too close to another character and use a move that launches you behind them, when you can walk through another player like they're a ghost it feels like I'm controlling 2-d paper puppets instead of solid characters
We need teching in this game. There's been many times where down air spikes on stage have killed me and I've killed them with. I think it's a great way to create more challenge for the players to not only have to time a tech in order to have a chance to survive, but also extend match times for more opportunities for comebacks.
Change Seasonal challenges similar to 'Win 25 matches with a insert character type class character', as some are too tricky for some people

attack decay is a pretty redundant mechanic imo. it doesnt actually solve the ""problem"" of people spamming the same normal and even punishes people for hittng loops and whatnot. most modern games dont have this and i cant really justify a reason for it in multiversus
Theres some wild auto turn around going on, i think it is far too lenient and within combos i see characters turn around and punish me even though i used good spacing to get behind them.
To me it feels very unfair and punishes getting behind your opponent and rewards spamming moves out

The game keeps freezing every now and then during all the matches. I get some Freeze and fps issue at every start of any matches for something between 5 to 10seconds. I feel like its worse when it's the first games of the day/ or first game on each map. I'm on 32go Ram 3070ti and Ryzen 5 3600
There is a big problem with either hit detection or the rollback not being updated to the correct character positions. I've noticed a lot of whiffs like with Finn for example. His sword goes through the opponents in some matches

characters in this game need more endlag on their moves bc it feels like ppl can just mash and never be punished. can’t approach jake for example because he can immediately throw out another move after spacing me out with his arms
nerf bunny's heart with the perk that makes it permanently, by making it disappear if you hit him, or else he can just stall on his heart, and even if you hit it, you're gonna get stunned and get a full charged light neutral 25% on your face, and it doesn't have any cooldown
also once again reminding to nerf taz's tornado, due to it ejecting too early even with reduced attack, having a lot of active frames, not having any cooldown, being able to control it in any direction, and having perks and passive that buffs it

Idk if anyone else has same issues but Jake’s win Badge is glitched at zero he’s the only person I play with online I have at least 50 wins…Steven’s second taunt doesn’t work…if you try to play reindog with a friend or by yourself vs bots it pulls up the screen that says “may give seizures” than goes back to main screen…and all of Velma’s moves are way too much if you are playing teams there’s no telling what’s going on when she’s on the game

I’d say lower base damage for tornado and have chicken cool down but i personally think tornado is slow enough to dodge, the only person I’ve lost to so far was a bugs and he was pretty nasty, Superman came close but that bugs made me drop from 1203 to 1746…I’ve personally handled Taz with Jake but everyone’s different
Tornado is slow sure but it's pretty annoying when it gets constantly spammed and it has too much knockback
If your game is lagging check your internet settings I’ve thought for even a beta this has better connections than most games rarely notice any issues if any at all, it’s personally better than smash too when it comes to online play because most people with switch don’t have Ethernet adapter

I feel like doing aerial attacks doesn't feel very satisfying and fluid when they cancel/slow both your horizontal and vertical momentum.
Same thing when watching someone else play the game. It makes the game look rather janky.

I wonder how much of the community feedback will be taken into account for balancing, I mean blatant abusive skills/attacks/hitboxes will surely be addressed. But I am also confident the devs have all the numbers on win ratios for all characters and that can be used to single out over/under powered characters across all skill ranges that require adjustments.

for the challenges that say you need to use a dc char shaggy/velma should count as they are originally dc comic chars
He has super armor, is pretty quick when he has evasive dodge and extra invisibility frames, and he can kill like bayonetta as a "tank"
They don't count as DC characters they're listed as Scooby Doo characters in the menu
There really needs to be a more stricter guideline for players that are completely inactive in the game. I just finished a 2v2 match where the player I was partnered with called xGvmbit was just not there and I had to go off against the opponents by myself.
still feels wrong though since it just says dc chars and technically they are 100% dc characters
Maybe an AFK timeout from matchmaking queue or something like that
Idk the hardest people I’ve fought have been bugs and Superman but bugs is the only one I’ve lost too, I think Superman is a great character maybe a little balancing I personally haven’t played with him much but I’ve played vs him a decent amount mostly Quinn’s, Starks, and bugs though
Not a huge issue, but on PS5, the "Play Again" button says to press Square, but pressing anything seems to play again. If nothing else, circle should go back to the menu
@woven dagger Ive was flawless for like 40 plus matches until I fought two supermans and I couldnt get anything through because he was so fast and he has his super armor, he killed batman at 70 percent and took another stock at 30 percent by flying me up to the screen it was absolutely insane
Great Game 10/10, good cast can’t wait to see more. Minor bugs that can be easily fixed.
The game is absolutely fun though, I think finn and arya stark have some weird network issues though, Like they are swinging and hitting things that I cant see
I've been playing the game and love it so far, but I have not been able to use my GameCube adapter and controller.
I'm not sure what needs to be done to get it working, but I'm hoping the team can work with Valve or something to get the GameCube Adapter with the Zadig drivers working in Multiversus.
This is going to be the exact controller + driver setup that Smash fans are going to have, and want to use. Smash fans have this setup for Dolphin, and Yuzu already.
I do think batman needs a buff, I am a shaggy main atm though

Hell yeah, I’ve seen some beast shaggy’s, I’ve just started playing with him recently I think he’s one of the most balanced too
Ok real quick why can shaggy literally summon infinite sandwiches with no cooldown but batman the man always prepared has a one batarang cool down?

Please change how aerials work be sure it’s extremely hard to catch people in the air, leading to a lot of platform camping
It would be nice to allow 1vs1vs1 in custom room because forcing a bot in the game kinds of ruin it lol

nope, only an option to make the c-stick attack or special, not the c-stick buttons themselves
