The only time they should require a character for a mission is while they're on the free rotation for that week. That way it encourages people to try something new, but it's at no cost to them. Not sure if intended but not a fan that a mission has a requirement to spend money to complete for a limited time event. Transactions should be for something cosmetic or to speed up unlocking something but never to complete a mission for a timed event.

i understand summer missions since many other characters have a beach ready skin but literally aira's is the only one you have to pay for and its forcing us to buy it to proceed with the event challenge. Been a day 1 glazer for this game but this is for real a scummy predatory way to wring out a bit of cash out of us. The other week it was to forcfully use the Joker for an event mission and i get that since hes new and you can buy him using fighter currency but its different this time when its something not a lot of people have. now this might be the 80,000th time you guys have heard a harley main complain, but just hear me out for like 2 minutes.

harley is no doubt a mid-B to low-A tier character. this is a given fact. she has great neutral, can have crazy combos if the player is good at dodge reads, and her utility items (bat bomb and the balloons) are near unmatched. however, in terms of kill power and knockback, she’s just the same as beta— whereas everyone else got buffed like crazy.

i think, personally, the reasons harley matchups against any other character (other than jake and jason) is unfair is just kill power.

combos, however, were the only thing she had post-beta that could help her with kill power and potential… but now that those are gone too, she has nothing that can truly help except for this really annoying spammy playstyle of just down air and side air that NO ONE likes to play— as or against.

EVERY other character has infinites and combos that deal MORE damage than anything harley could ever do before? rather than seeing exactly what went wrong and why people would complain about her, you decided to nerf her combos (which again, were the only ways of killing she had) ON SIGHT..

(and left bugs and wonder woman alone of course)

but that’s honestly a side topic. i’m not talking abt combo changes, mainly just knockback and kill power was WAY less in the beta but they upped it on everyone EXCEPT harley is what i’m tryna say. now we get rung out at around 60% while we can’t kill anyone when they’re at 90% unless it’s situational. keep her as she is, but at least buff her killing power so it can equal all the other characters.

and if you try to say “but harley is an assassin she’s not meant to kill that early”, let me tell you that other assassin characters can kill as early as 30-40% with very wacky true combos (finn, marvin, arya, stripe)… where is this with harley herself?

i’m just trying to help, don’t take this personally whatsoever. i’m not saying to ignore the community— this is one of the best things about PFG tbh. i’m simply saying to look into the characters, the reasons why they are unbalanced, and finally find solutions; rather than making quick decisions based off of the community’s complaints. (and accidentally gutting a character without even realizing it)

I'm going to be rebumping this post every time this issue inconveniences me.

Mind you, while i just unlocked Arya, there is no way for me to unlock her beach ready variant without straight up paying for it. It isn't in the battlepass, it isn't a reward for any of the current events, it isn't a guest character that i can play as in any of the rifts, there is no way for me to complete this mission and retrieve any of xp from it without spending money.
At best this is poor design for missions and at worst completely invasive.
I've said it before, i'll say it again, and will continue to say it until it is fixed, I as a free to play player should not be forced to pay in order to make progress. It should be a choice that is available to me and nothing more.

Please add an offline mode. The game being always online guarantees the game will be unplayable when Warner Bros decides to pull the plug. The beta had an offline mode, but it strangely disappeared during this full release. I bought a Founders Pack during this era, but I am not comfortable putting any more money into this game until an offline mode is added and assuring it won't become unplayable when support stops.

Tony Huynh and everyone else at PFG, please show that the name "Player First" Games isn't just for show, and add an offline mode.

although i will agree it is a skill issue on our part (as garnet players) she does need more within her kit to make her "viable" vs other characters.

a big handful of em got good loops that kinda go around Garnet's kit. Her main kill ability will be her rocket fists. Her clap doesn't kill even at 100+ (based off scooby doo map vs most of the cast above assassins) and her big strat is really honest to see through. Place star near wall of stage, grab opponent then when they hit the wall, rocket fist to kill.

She was the queen of B tier in beta which made her solid. The removal of armor on her final hits of her attacks made her even rougher to use. If they bring back her armor along with giving a bit more knockback on her fully charged moves and Clap she'd be back to where she was

Jason however is slow and eats damage like Iron Giant but doesn't have the armor nor the weight to survive. He's Iron Giant JR. without the projectiles.

i feel like a "team-up" perk would be cool for duos, where specific matchups of duos (ie. rick and morty, harley quinn and joker) can grant a unique buff or something interesting. im aware this would leave out some characters that dont have 2 reps in their series, but i think this would be really cool for the game, and also discourage players from running two of the same character, like double banana guard and others. you could even just go down the route of every character having a unique perk with each other which would also be very cool. tldr: perk interaction between characters, and just more perks in general. lmk how you guys feel on this

This is a really specific nitpick but from my impressions there are problems with all of Steven's skins (apart from the coach one). The default one, I don't think his tongue is modeled on the underside? When he sways during his menu idle you can briefly see a hole under his tongue when he opens his mouth wider. For the Tiger Millionare skin, the tongue is colored more red than the original and for the Wedding one his tongue is completely missing

PLEASE FIX THE WAY MISSIONS ARE TRACKED. There's NO reason why i need to 'Ring out and enemy with a projectile', get 4 projectile ringouts in one match, and it only counts ONE projectile kill. Same for wanting me to hit 12 down attacks, i land 20 down attacks in a game, and it only counts like 3 of them. I've tried to mix it up. I've tried to spam them. I've tried to do one per stock. there is ZERO rhyme or reason or consistency to how challenges are tracked and scored.

Also fix hit boxes/animations. EXTREMELY tired of getting hit with what looks like an attack that does not connect. just fluff up the animations/particle effects to accurately represent the size of the hitbox.

Also please remove the 'ESCAPED' condition from rifts. If a combo can be used against a player, it should be useable against a bot.

Beach Ready Taz is playable as a guest fighter in the middle node of the Surf's Up rift (the one with the Watermelon Steven thumbnail) so you can just replay that mission to get the Beach Ready Animated mission done. The Arya one is just egregious baiting to get you to buy stuff tho

Buying gem level ups is hardly worth it anyway. After level 5 and up, gems require much more xp than even buying a few of the gem xp packs would give you. How other games do it is you have to log in at least once during an event to recieve the bonuses, once you do you will then have to log in however many days to recieve all rewards, but you aren't restricted in a limited number of days to log in after the first log in during an event. It would be a good consumer friendly practice, especially because forcing people to have fomo for everything will backfire when people burn out and can't dedicate the time consistently

New players just jumping in are basically guaranteed to immediately miss out on all previous rewards and that's disheartening for a consistent player base

If you put in effort into an event, and you can't finish it within the extremely limited time frame it generally makes people adapt a why bother attitude.

The current system is extremely punishing for any player who is extremely dedicated.

Even if you play casual, it's borderline impossible to get the most of out these events and honestly it makes it harder to convince new players to jump aboard because they have already missed out on so much

If people need a break they can't really take one, and it's frustrating for the long term health of the game

Buff velma and I have points (cuz I'm the only velma main alive):

1.velmas attacks are still slower than every other attack even after buffs

2. Not to mention that her attacks are can be stopped by every attack except neutral because they are all charged and up special too

3. Velma is one of the only few characters that don't have a finisher move and having to make then 150 everytime just to finish them shouldn't be the only choice

4. She's light weight and has almost no knockback resistance and she can't really be good if she doesn't have much mobility

5.her sprint attack is literally so useless because it doesn't have no shield or anything to protect her and stuns her for long enough for them to go down and down arrow her

6. Her random fall down and blinding us is not a funny move and it keeps making me do it when I'm trying to hit side neutral

8. Her side air covers such little distance and her being small isn't helping + 99% of characters have side air combos but she doesn't

9.her down air has literally no hit box coverage and it's slow and honestly it's the only reason she's remotely playable atm

10. Remove the random chemical she throws I don't want to throw a chemical when I'm trying to finish with a down special when it literally has so small coverage and the effect isn't even worth it

Imo as long a loop requires attack cancelling with dodge attack that is fine, as stamina will run out very quickly and thats the pay off, cant be done forever
The true loops that actually can be done as long as the person that performs it doesnt mess it up shouldnt be a thing

I think it's too easy to get away even when you have gray stamina. I'd suggest making that state more vulnerable by disabling the ability to dodge through opponents' bodies and making dodges shorter when you have gray stamina (but also reduce some of the stamina costs for things like dodge attack cancelling, to make slightly harder to get to gray stamina).

You guys need to figure out some of the stuff that is making you lose players.

Imo to me there's a few outliers:

New characters are WAY too expensive to get for new players. Players don't want to struggle to afford new characters and being stuck with only a few ones they can play.. If unlocking characters is too hard, this is a reason new players will leave. Make them cheaper.

The Battlepass is pretty good value, but the vast majority of skins are WAY too expensive. If you slashed prices in half you'd probably make more money from people actually feeling they're worth spending money on.

A lot of people feel tricked with the Agent Smith announcement, if people are going to struggle the hardest difficulties to unlock him from the event then that is going to piss off A LOT of players.

A lot of players feel the game got objectively worse after remaking it from UE4 to UE5. People especially feel the game got a lot slower, and you removed some movement tech that made the game more interesting for advanced players.
