It's not going to be what you want to hear I'm sure, but the current gameplay loop is very daily dependant. The fact they're so adamant about it makes me doubt they plan on changing gears anytime soon.

Not only is it the only way to keep on top of events, but unless they balance fight exp more generously it's probably also the only way to actually complete the battle pass.

You can no longer play as characters you don't own in local play and training

You can't change your controller settings in the training room anymore

More full loading screens when changing settings / start positions

No advanced tutorial mode

Economy / Progression
No more cheaper characters (e.g. Garnet, Taz) for 1500 - every character is 3-6k

No non-Gleamium skins

No more battle pass xp after every match. We can only level up the battle pass from challenges now.

No "toast back" if someone toasts you after you've left the post-match screen.

You HAVE to use your character tickets if you got them (presumably also battle pass tickets), you can't choose to pay character currency or gleamium.

Settings
No option to remove team colors in battle

No ability to swap neutral and side attacks

Can't remove or lower buffering of inputs

@sturdy bone @'ing you is the only possible way of actually having that change but im here to talk about jason,ive mained him since the launch, yes his knockback is strong, and surely how big he is and slow should compensate for that well.. no it doesnt, alot of his moves has such little hitbox and for what reward with that huge of a risk: for example, his netral bag grab, absolutely useless, it is so slow with such little range and such a LONG recovery, and in return you do what, less than the damage id do with his basic normal attack combo, and when u throw someone, they'd have to be at 120 or more to actually throw them far, so please make it more rewarding OR make it easier to land that hit, like a dash grab yk, it takes insane amount of luck and skill, you have to rely on someones mistake and ur skill timing, compared to other characters, it shouldnt be that hard, or if so, make the damage crazier or something, same thing goes for his air grab, its so hard to actually get to use it if not for ur opponents mistake, it sounds crazy but it'll be very cool that it could grab someone even if they dodge trough it, this move would be more useful, his neutral special, ALSO useless if not making ur fight worse, you get taken 10-20 health away from u with such a high chance of failing that opportunity, if u miss one hit, or teleport its just gone, ur 10-20 health just gone, and even if it were to hit, it would STILL be useless, u deal 10-15 damage more in ur first hit, so if i pop it and get 10 health off then hit someone and it makes 10 more damage, i technically did nothing, cuz i got 10 health off of me too, its either useless, or just lost health for nothing, and if u click it again you just scream⁉️ the hitbox of that scream is on my skin, its impossible to hit and it does NOTHING lmao, so what if instead of that, lots of different possibilities, you pop it, get free 20 health and when ur hit ACTUALLY hits, now ur 20 hp extra is gone, make it a 15 sec v

But taking away so much overall, (almost all of the perks, combo and string routes for a plethora of characters, not addressing the most problematic buttons in the game), has led to some characters blowing others completely out the water by virtue of being unchanged or having still access to some of their still violently oppressive options to the point where the top tiers have a MASSIVE gap between themselves and other characters

Ww routes still have incredible potential to almost pick and choose how they go whilst doing big DMG whilst leading to consistent kill scenarios, bugs killing people at 23 off of two attacks I witnessed in the clips channel/killing heavier characters off the top at 100 or below, loops still existing in the game on some characters that already had/have solid initiations for fights as well as swing mechanics that enable them to play from a deficit, etc

But we decided to nerf banana guard side special by 2 points of DMG, and nerf characters that realistically only had one or two solid things that weren't inherently oppressive and make them completely unfunctional outside of niche scenarios

Either we can buff to close the gap between top tiers and the rest of the cast or please just nerf the character that are actually just autopiloting through games

I've been playing since the beta. I found the game speed and changes to dodge a bit jarring at first. I thought it was too slow.

HOWEVER, now that I've given the game a chance, I've been enjoying the game speed and I think it's more balanced than before. I like that I can punish things and my moves are more thoughtful.

I appreciate that the disconnects are a bit better. The connection and games are a lot more pleasant to play overall since the beta.

ive been playing for a week against people who have wins in the thousands, have maxed out almost every character, and know every combo in the book

**The problem with Shaggy is that they didn’t balance him properly.

Let me explain: His nair and dtilt (beta) were too strong and deserved to be nerfed due to the infinite combo, but instead of nerfing them, they completely killed these two moves.
The sandwich has too much lag to be used effectively at a distance.

So, we end up with three almost useless inputs.
Therefore, Shaggy players mostly use up-tilt, d-air, up-air, up-special, and forward-special.

What’s terrifying is that Shaggy only has about half of his kit functional, yet he still manages to compete (though that’s a bit of an exaggeration, as he gets destroyed in pro play).

His problem is that his mix-ups are readable from a mile away. It’s either jab, jab, up-special or d-air, up-tilt.

I think they should have nerfed the power of his aura (his charged special attacks) without making them too weak, and left the other attacks so we could combo up to a certain percentage.

Since his nair got nerfed, I place Shaggy in B+/A- tier. He can take rounds off god-tier characters in pro play, but I don’t think he can win a tournament; he’s missing too many tools.**

For a set up that wants us to play a little bit each day, it's getting too tedious for little reward. The process is get on for like 10 minutes to do dailies, then log off, but all you're really getting is 1-2 levels in the battle pass. It's not even worth playing PvP right now, as you can still do most of the dailies in PvE (some even require it), and the PvP ones are too unpredictable (needing to either play or win enough games, but network issues happen about half the time). I'm never desperate for 150-300 battlepass exp, so I just quit at that point. There need to be better rewards for actually playing the game - and no, perk currency is not a 'better reward', no one cares about perk currency, not even new players.

Some feedback on quests and event rewards/xp. I think the current model heavily leans towards daily xp and rewards, which as a serious fighting game or even a fun casual fighting game where hopefully a large number of people hop on every month, it doesn't work. It's really disappointing for me and my friends who started the game on friday after the release that we completely missed out on event rewards and quests simply because we never logged in beforehand when we didn't even know the game came out. Plus most adult players will get their time to grind out the game on specific days especially weekends, but when players are not incentivized to play a few days and only every day, they will just prefer not to play at all since it's so frustrating that they can't complete quests they miss. Weekly missions should stack throughout the season so you can always get a huge amount of xp even if you missed a few weeks or didn't have time to complete them all, and events with rewards should have quests that you can complete every day but stack until the end of the event so you can always get the rewards once you have time before the end date., don't punish players for being too busy to log on every single day and play for 1-2 hours. Obviously benefitting players with daily quests and bonus rewards is fine, but don't weigh it so heavily on that that players miss crucial xp just by missing a few days.

Dude, I think we both like the game and we agree on that, but you don't need to worry about if the devs fixing stuff on time. This won't convince them. What really brings players back is when they add more content and players get hyped for it. I'm sure they'll be fixing a lot of these little, and some major issues (sorry xbox fans the issues have really been stacked for y'all) throughout the entire first season and all the angry comments and criticial feedback will just help them make the game better. When they do season 2 and hopefully drop a number of characters they've teased like Samurai Jack and Powerpuff Girls, people will come back cause they'll be curious, and if the game is in a better state more will stay. Black Adam is by far the worst character ever... this Tony mf yall keep tlking about needs to sit with sum real players who actually play this on a comp lvl. The moves on Black are slow and easy to counter. Every other character can throw all types of bs out there but let this Black Adam character throw sum lightning... it looks like he's posing for a super hero pic! 📸 Every move he does gets him punished. I try to stay in the air but that's only for so long. I can't shoot anything because he has no distance, his movement is extra extra slow... I just don't understand these devs and creators. Yall sit around for yrs to come up with nothing!

It's more the, reworking the game in a way nobody wanted and then sticking hero's in the pass and also having a huge playtime necessary to unlock the cast and BP xp being really bad and missons being kinda necessary to grind and some missons being character specific locking people who didn't return out of those missons.

@indigo gorge They may not have had a choice literally ALL major devs are using unreal 5 and WB prob forced them to do this to keep with everyone else, I will say gaining fighter currency hasn’t been an issue for me I have more than I need and enough Gleamium for the next BP already and according to my math if u just do daily and weekly everyday you’ll reach lvl 70 with 24 days to spare but, I get ur point it does seem like updating is coming way faster than before so we’ll see in 2-3 months

I'm just kinda echoing what a lot of people are saying, but rifts just... aren't fun. I can appreciate some of the missions. Like the Joker boss battle was aight. But the break the targets stage was pretty unfun with the game's new physics and movement. The fights and challenges feel unnecessarily grindy. Most the minigame missions are just really bad (which is a shame b/c I think you're onto something there idea wise, just not execution wise). But playing rifts just burns me out on the game and is way too grindy.

A relatively small change that I think would go a long way to making rifts feel better is unlocking all difficulties from the start, and if you beat a high difficulty rift node, that automatically counts towards beating the lower difficulty too. At least then, while I probably still wouldn't find them fun, I'd at least not dread doing them.

All this. Making it so grindy pulls people away from the PvP which is what this game was supposed to be about. People wanted the OPTION to do PvE stuff but with it being part of what you need to do to unlock things or weekly/daily goals forces me to do something I don't really want to do.

And having the "bring a friend" goal on all of them is lame too.. when I do get to play with friends, we want to do PvP, not PvE

PVE is pretty fun though, its a nice break from all the sweats in PVP especially right now with the event going on. Harder difficulties do make you work for the 5 stars, rewards are a tad lacking, i feel they could do more with the PVE side, like how Injustice you could earn legendary gear through boss fights with your friends. Maybe making the gems available in PVP im unsure, as im more of a PVE player.

They ruin the PVE by making you have to play it, for nothing in return, just less time on PVP which everyone wants to do.

"fun" might be an overstatement. Rifts would be ok if you didn't have to do the same rift 5 times to get all the rewards, and they would be even better if there weren't a gazillion stages. Seriously, rifts feel more like a chore rather than a fun part of the game.

I'd reccomend being contructive in your feedback.
Instead of just going "nerf shaggy" explain exactly what it is about the character that makes him feel too strong and/or unfun to play against. Give feedback about which parts of the character you think are too much! ^^

I agree with you, in the state of the game right now rift is appalling. It's a punishment more than anything, and the harder difficulties i dont see a reason to play them. After they fix the servers, and try to help everyone complaining. I think they come back to PVE side, bump up the rewards (make it worth while to play), add a different side of it the (group boss fights), and a few other ideas.

Make a poll and you'll see how most of the playerbase isn't willing to do the same rift 5 times just for some mid rewards. Heck, I haven't even done the Jason one because of how boring the other two were.

Yeah, they definitely scuffed pretty much every aspect, unknowingly though. They thought they were making it better, now we have a chance to voice our opinions (that arent to crazy) and if enough people do it, im sure they'll make some effort to save their game.

I'm complaining about the fact rifts are repetitive and boring, and there's no reason for them to have so many stages. Higher difficulties just create artificial difficulty not by making the bots' AI harder, but by adding weird gimmicks and penalties that only affect YOU (the player) and a Pay2Play lives system that they said was a bug (ain't nobody falling for that).
