i don't mind the gameplay changes honestly, it's slower but can get used to it

dash attacks can be tied to a button though , they did it for neutrals so they might as well just do that for dash attacks

yeah 100% the gameplay in beta was so much more responsive fluid and fast

Ok going to sum up my feedback as both a beta and current player:
- Increase movement speed by about 15-20%, so it feels faster but not beta speed.
- Zoom out camera as it feels too zoomed in, probably revert it to what it was back in beta
- Make battle pass exp earn able from playing games again.
- Perks were handled better in beta.
- Also no ranked mode, why?
Overall still enjoying the game, but I think these changes are necessary to keep the game going.
Dexter's lab is utter garbage. Is there a way to avoid maps?
Please allow free perk and character selection when a match is found like in the beta.

Menus. Old beta menu looked more appealing than the new one. Navigation isn’t necessarily an issue, however it wasn’t too much at all. Especially the UI for changing the game modes weren’t bad at all. The new menu looks like there’s “too” much within it.

Slow paced. The game is way too slow for a buggy/laggy game. We already have hit pause, making it even more slower makes the whole gameplay boring. Compared to other platform fighter games, hit pauses aren’t necessarily a thing or is balanced with combos that don’t have hit pauses and only cater to specials. It helps performance and gameplay wise.

Characters. Please be more critical about your characters. A good example of this is Jason/Wonder Woman. WW shield makes up for her “slow” gameplay. However although Jason is slow, he has 3 y easy grabs + teleportation + invulnerability + a tank host. It’s Superman + Jake combined which is already lame enough.
- To stop catering people who spam abilities that can potentially 2 tap below 90, I’d recommend a decrease of knock back range or a very short cooldown like grab.

Training. Changing the training map and the whole entire training section itself was an unnecessary move. It looked fine the way it was and the UI was really good. It was easier to test out perks, change your character, etc.
Bring back Stats, change Camera, give us back unlocked roster offline/training, give us BP progress per match/win
Why were cancels removed. They added depth to combat
There is a large amount of input delay (1 - 2 seconds) for certain players when playing online pvp.

Does anyone know how to complete the missions of playing with cop banana, I played a thousand times already and nothing and the other mission of collecting a cauldron in route mode, I have no idea, I passed both campaigns and it was not completed.

Related to rifts: Can we all agree that your teammate getting perma-bubbled until you free them is just the worst kind of garbage mechanic? I'm getting bullied by black lantern supes & ww cuz batman gets rung out almost immediately every time, and spends the majority of the rest of the fight floating around while I get flattened by 2 of the most hyperarmored characters in the game.
Bring match battlepass experience and match currency (preferably fighter currency) back. Progression is way too slow compared to beta, which was already kinda slow
please give us a better income of fighter currency unlocking characters is so much more expensive than it should be
The hits register bad and the hits feel laggy like cry game mechanic all you want but the hitting the enemy and doing combos feels slow and sad
I feel like they did that with the fighter currency to push pve (I've gotten most of my fighter currency thru there.)

Yeah I'm not sure what led the devs to the conclusion that the game needed to be slower and more zoomed in. The speed and camera were fine enough before. You can't really flow the same anymore like you used to.

Some immediate feedback would be:
-Bring back the old movement, same attack speed, same character size or FOV's, same controls,
-Try making the HUD simpler and kind of similar to the old one, AGAIN, I am speaking for almost every die hard player, every casual players that played a lot during the Beta, so kind of everyone.

His Grey health gets instantly erased and made worthless by even the dinkiest attacks, and his speed & attack buffs aren't even noticeable most of the time, so he just winds up doing self-damage for literally no reason.

Neutral special dont exist on em, his arial dwn special is better than grounded, and he can take hits if you mess up

There's just way too much downtime after most of his attacks. He just stands there, either in an animation or just...standing there (I'm looking at YOU, weird janky teleport attack.)
They should allow us to get xp from winning because you need to grind every single day to complete the battle pass

It's not even that @brittle kettle . If you don't immediately imput your next attack as he's teleporting, he'll just sort of stand there and not do anything when he reappears, while you get punished.

Banana guard's aerial down special doest even have a hit box until he hits the ground. That means literally anyone can attack him and cancel him out while he's in the air, and you can't do anything about it once you commit to the butt slam.
Progressing the Battle Pass only through challenges is horrible... Theres no point in playing online if you cant even progress the Battle Pass

Feedback regarding the blast zones: You should not be able to jump and lose the stock yourself because you touched a blast zone, there should be some kind of system preventing that and you only dying because someone hit you in the blast zone.

Side special is a brute...when it doesn't jank out, flip you around, not register your followup cuz you inputted a millisecond too late, and leave you frozen while you get punished.
Bring back the toggle to swap grounded side and neutral attacks, bring back all the lab settings removed from training, bring back the ability to use aerials near the ground, and bring back anything else removed from the beta I cant think of anything else so they clearly weren't that special though

Since its been about a full day since the full release, I may as well give my personal day 1 thoughts
To start off, those who are making it out like this unplayable mess are really overreacting, it is still admittedly a fun game in its own right, it controls well for the most part, online matches genuinely run pretty good whenever the servers arent screwed up, better than a lot of other platform fighters in the same vein, and it is a decent distraction for a couple hours at a time
But yeah it definitely has its problems. The worst problem is easily the removal of playing locked characters in training and local play, genuinely such an awful decision that only discourages people from trying out new characters and basically removes the test-before-you-buy feature that made purchasing them worth it in the first place, it to the point where it isnt even a good monetary decision. I don't think the game's speed is necessarily the problem that people are making it out to be, moreso the heavily nerfed aerial physics from the beta, it feels so stiff and awkward in comparison that it was brought down way more than it should've even if they wanted to gear towards a more casual playerbase, theres hardly any sense of speed or gravity like youre constantly being vacuumed to the roof every time you jump, it makes playing aerial-based characters so much worse than it should.
That and the problems that pretty much everyone else has brought up at this point, like the broken friend lobbies, frequent server crashes and disconnects even in single player modes, the extreme move buffering, the heavily limited dodging, the fact that it feels like it only took away ui and accessibility features rather than add any, even by day 1 standards there is just no excuse for some of these problems
I think hit stun is too long, I get what they were going for with having moves feel impactful but it slows down matches
So while i still think its overall a good game, if it wants to actually thrive and have a long shelf life, they absolutely need to address some of these problems, because as of now? it aint gonna last long lol

I've played in some friend lobbies and there is so much stuff that is just actually broken about it. Sometimes the match settings just do not register or are resetted to default options before a game, matches can just randomly disconnect even when both of our connections are absolutely fine, the rematch screens just straight up do not work sometimes

From a player who played for nearly 100 hours in the beta, this feels so much worse. I was so excited for this release, I had never been so excited for a game. How did these decisions make it through? The UI feels so clunky and bad. The previous UI was way better., straight to the point, less confusing, and much cleaner. It now feels like a bootleg fornite UI. Also the zoom in game, how did it get playtested and no one had a problem with this? It is wayyy to zoomed in, its a platform fighter but you cant even see the ringout zone. We dont need a close up of a character on our screens. Also the currencies, why the convolution of having so many? Also the lag + speed of the game is way too slow. I most of all just am sad abt the state of the game.

idk its just sad, i uninstalled the game, maybe in another 2 years itll be in a state that id be willing to play it in. hopefully they take feedback and dont try stick to this format, because itll be sure to die once again.
Honestly I'm not against the game being meant for a more casual playerbase with its slower speed but like when you basically change the entire flow of the game compared to the highly anticipated beta and continue to market and advertise it as if it was the same game and audience in mind, and make absolutely zero addressment from the devs as to why this change was made exactly, I just have to ask why they thought this was a good idea lol
yea its strange, idk it seems to be the direction of games in general. have a high skill floor and add 50 currencies, dont value the core player base who genuinely enjoyed the game. its such an easy fix too but yea we'll see

I would like to see local coop rifts available. Some people have friends who would play but don’t have a system, or kids, roommates, you get the gist.
Rifts are the most easily available and inclusive format the game has right now, and I don’t have a second set up for my kids. We all share.
The devs should at the very least make a public statement as to why these changes were made, otherwise it only feels like we were just ripped off

Please bring back the option to switch grounded neutral and grounded side attack. The grounded neutrals feel like grounded side attacks and vice versa. As a smash player, this is absolutely mind numbing to get used to, not sure why it was removed.

Most of the changes that people are complaining about are "easy" to implement. I'm not too familiar with netcode and taht stuff but the other things aren't hard. It's never going to be about technical difficulty. I'm just worried they don't take the communities feedback well., and think they know better. It won't be the first time a game ies because of devs not listening to the community. But if I think its unplayable im sure im not alone, and the playcount over the next few weeks will tell all

Honestly if you just sped up the game by like 20%~ and gave people the option again to play locked characters in local and training, the vast majority of people would probably be happy with this game

Fix Superman’s laser attack it’s inconsistent amd doesent even do it’s job when someone is on the floor acts as if no one was there wasted move and u get punished for it by priority air attacks 💀
U got Finn casually not taking no animation damage/stun when he’s clearly doing his charge running move on the floor with no super armor

Garnet zipline froze the game and I was stuck in the animation for the rest of the game
It's going to take sometime for the game to improve to have almost all of the Open Bea features and such, but I know PFG got this.
My game settings never save between sessions and I always have to reconfigure them.
The most frustrating part of this release is that I can only rarely actually play it. I want to play it. It’s fun to play. But it doesn’t work. I run into a match desync error 90% of the time in 2v2 matches when this never ever happened during the beta. I’ve tested multiple types of connections but nothing seems to help. The same network issues cause even non-matchmaking game modes to lag intensely. I’ve captured tons of footage of this and I’m just bewildered and extremely disappointed.

Banana guard's cry can't hit small characters like gizmo/stripe unless they fall into you. Can't even combo into it like with larger characters.
What's the point of progression in story mode if you can't actually lose any battles.

Man there HAS to be a way to fight on a specific stage for that joker event. Going into matchmaking just to get any stage not Batcave at random is annoying as hell.

You completed the mode itself, you failed to meet the challenges
If they aren't going to do that they shouldn't have playing on a specific stage as a mission
You still get rewarded for just pressing A like a daily login. (granted minor but still impactful with the fighters currency)
Plus why have dialogue that basically implies danger when there no sense of danger like within the story.
Then again I probably wouldn't have noticed this issue if they had a reset/exit button in the rift mode.

I believe you can only disable crossplay using the Xbox settings outside of the game

The most nitpickey feedback I can muster: The login button should either say "Enter the Multiverse" or "Enter Multiversus". Just "Enter Multiverse" feels awkwardly phrased.

honestly the game is really unpolished. it feels like we waited a year+ for changes that we didnt ask for and some changes in stuff that we really liked. dont get me wrong the new changes to the battle ui are good, but some changes just feel unpolished and gross. the game select screen is nasty and feels like a ms paint edit
the battle changes are weird but understandable, but the games feel chunky and slow, the hitstun is significantly a worse change for the game, since it makes jabs like a non skippable cutscene where you just mash dodge and hope for something to happen while it won't. the changes to the settings are really weird too, like wdym some player-loved features like removing outlines aren't back at "full release". this just doesn't feel like a full release, and there's nothing except for maybe banana guard hype and fast queues that keeps me logging in (its day 2 already).
i feel like the rift modes is a good direction but it feels like a weird repetitive mobile game, where mid challenges are really annoying, and dialogue feels like it was coded in a day
and masteries was such a HUGE LETDOWN, theres basically nothing to grind for in character levels. just perk points (which i already have 26000+ of) which is really disappointing.
also the rematch screen and perk system is just overall WORSE, i feel like its headed in a good direction but now locking base game features behind character levels and perks is just outrageous
the controller experience SUCKS NOW. its hard to see any of the other character's perks, and its hard to nagivate throught the rematch and perk menu. its also really annoying that we dont get to experience the banner animations when we turn the joystick like we used to, it used to feel so smooth and nice, but now u get that only when using mouse
also taking skins for players in beta and locking them behind a ticket/support system to get back is just the WORST, and it makes for a really bad experience when i wanna hop in and use the old cosmetics i paid for (i got founders pack)

I don't mind the gameplay changes although the game could be just a smidge faster and the characters a bit smaller. I enjoy playing the game though so I don't care if that stuff gets changed
Bring back Stats, change Camera, give us back unlocked roster offline/training, give us BP progress per match/win

Please please please remove Townsville from the 1 v 1 cue. That or take off the stages hazards. This is not a 1 v 1 stage with hazards on. It’s so incredibly annoying watching people cheese the stage when they are losing or winning. If you wanna add a casual cue, please do that instead

Okay, so I've naturally just been venting about the problems here but I'll make an actual feedback as someone who used to be #50 Taz in the game. #100 or sum wit Lebron.
Let me start off with what I and the community has been complaining about mostly.
- Netcode, it's a gamble if you're actually gonna rubberband or be disconnected, so much for rollback netcode
- Movement, it's sluggish, it's not even fun anymore
- Dodge bar, it's a good change but yet it kills the fun of it, even such as moving and you're at risk of everything, if you don't use dodge to move you're stuck being a slug
- Hitboxes, they're too big or too small
- Maps are too small for the bigger character sizes
- Currency revamp is so stupid but I understand it
- Characters not being unlocked in training
- The way the dodging works now is horrible
- The new sizes and movement really kills the game, it lost the unique-ness
- The way to get new characters/bp xp is so horrible it's not even funny
- Not being able to swap characters after 1 match before rematching is so bad it's hilarious
- Not being able to swap combos is such a "nah, this game has no skill" moment, you killed all show of skill with that one
- Where's ranked? Isn't this supposed to be launch?
- How we supposed to get Agent Smith when most rifts aren't even open? 💀
- The way to get new characters is hilariously horrible and super time consuming, same with bp.
- Why do we need input delay? IK there's rollback netcode but that doesn't mean there's input delay that noticable.
As for the Characters
- Harley, Joker seem to be top tier, I mean, I'm talking on strictly 1v1s, once a Harley got their eye on you, you're dead. The changes on the dodge meter are horrible and the new "dodge" works is horrible to say the least vs her.
- Arya seems to finally have her spot, tho most of her combos not landing cuz of the new hitbox changes and the netcode/movement being as jank as it comes
- Banana Guard is utter garbage, you either spam or die
- Batman is in a great spot
- Black Adam seems alright, other than some hitbox problems
- Bugs is Bugs, nothing needs to be said
- Finn seems to be on a better spot than he used to be before, not broken but not weak either
- Garnet is Garnet, weak asl, not worse than Banana Guard tho
- Poor Gizmo, bro still amazing to a point but seems too weak
- Do I even have to talk about Harley?
- Iron Giant is either the weakest character in the game or the strongest, just like how he used to be, perfect 💀
- Jake, moving on. Still broken
- Jason... why does his neutral special even exist? Deal damage to yourself for something that gets broken within 1 hit? Can't even tank anything, useless, he's not even a tank, he's more of a bruiser LOL
- About Lebron and the new hitboxes, just check twitter clips, he can make an infinite loop with his balls now
- Marvin, yea, I only faced 1 Marvin so far, no clue
- Morty has turned to a spin to win character, everything else nerfed 💀
- ReinDAWG, yeah, wanna win, pick him.
- Rick is something, he's like Iron Giant imho, either busted or weak
- Shaggy is Shaggy.
- Steven universe feels too strong rn, you can loop people so much easier now
- I haven't fought a single stripe, IDK
- Superman is still the same, fly, grab, repeat
- Taz, nah, bro's combos are so weak it's not even funny, gets beat by 70% of the cast
- Joker. Moving on.
- I only faced 1 Tom n Jerry so far, I don't think I'm at a point to speak for them
- Velma is too damn weak now 💀
- Yeah, WW is still top tier

Here's some really obvious stuff that I think was a either problem in the beta, was mentioned, and is still a problem, or was something great about the beta that isn't here, that ISN'T that 'the game feels different'. I like the decreased speed/increased weight imo, makes it feels less erratic.:
-The currency still sucks. While Gleamium is definitely less of a premium currency than it was, the replacement of Gold with 3 different currencies feels awful. You get way too many perk points and nowhere near enough Character currency to actually spend those points on, Prestige is just a dreadfully designed currency that so clearly shouldn't have been done like this. The problem wasn't that gold wasn't useful, it was that it took too long to get.
-Why do you need to unlock every character for Local play? This is just going to make hosting any kind of in-person tournament miserable to do. Especially for the fact you need specific characters for the solo mode missions and can't even try characters in training.
-While Gleamium is easier to earn, it's still horridly overpriced. No skin should ever be above $5 unless it's an entirely unique model with unique voicelines and a few new animations, at which point even then I feel like $12 foe a reskin is the absolute most. I could buy, like, lunch for that much.
-Why do you need to play online multiplayer for the solo mode missions? Isn't the point of rifts to be single player content?
Honestly, the biggest killer of this game's beta was the awful grind and excessively expensive microtransactions, and that's all still there.

I feel like the new menu is a big step-down from the beta. The Lab feels really esoteric to access now, when it was really easy before and worked well with matchmaking. The graphical upgrade is really really nice, but the inability to just access one of the most important "get good" features is a little sad.
I loathe the fact you now have to buy characters to test them in The Lab, but apparently that's a mistake...

I think if they made some sort of one-time payment to shift the monetization of this game to one more suited to a paid game rather than F2P, it may actually be very popular

I don't care about any stylistic changes that people are complaining about like gameplay speed or the camera, thats opinionated, but:
- Why is there once again no ranked on release whatsoever? If there was a set release date like 1 or 2 weeks that would make sense, but yet again ranked is just not in the game and does not have a release date. Did we not learn from last time?
- Why are features removed? I understand removing some perks that weren't being used, but like... oml there's like 5-7 perks for each classification. Why? Just why? Secondly, where's universal ranking? Instead of playing ranked, which we shouldn't be in the dark about, people stayed in the game for a limited time to increase their global ranking. Where is that? Are people who enjoy playing competitive just supposed to play a few 1v1s and a few 2v2s and delete the game? I don't understand the game plan here. Also not as important but just another feature removed, why was the game stats removed?

Please gives us the option to remove the coloring over the character models of teammates and enemies, it is very ugly and off-putting seeing a completely red/ yellow character.
Also a fixed camera setting for would be nice, like the beta had.
But mostly for me it is the colloring of character models it makes it very unappealing to even think about skins.
I really hope they add the ability to change your fighter when we rematch someone. It was a feature in the beta but we are no longer able to do it!

Exactly. It is widely understood that the reason multiversus died the first time was because of a lot of people felt there was nothing to do. Because there was no ranked, just 1v1s and 2v2s. The PVE in this game may help mitigate that, but its not gonna keep people playing in the long run. Its actually mind boggling that they did the same exact thing
the new character unlocking system is the worst with fighting currency
you only get 10 from rift which is basically nothing at least make it to 100 or 200
you can only get 600 from mastery which takes so long to do when you reach level 4 it takes so long to level up

Mmm, I don't feel it's lost all skill expression. It feels more like Smash Ultimate though, I think that's the big issue. You see a lot of spam as a game launches due to underoptimised gameplay, you just need to hang back a bit and start punishing overuse. It does take a while to nail down, especially in new engines. Spammers never prosper.

Banana Guard tends to have noticeable lag after attacking, a dodgeroll-jump into a punish works nicely. Jump-ins aren't as easily punished on his end either, but the disjoints can be iffy.

Missing Skins and Characters from Beta
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to request assistance with recovering my missing skins and characters from the beta version of Multiversus. During the beta, I acquired several skins, emotes, banners and characters that are no longer available in my account. I would greatly appreciate your help in restoring these items to my account. Speaking as a Bugs Bunny player, he feels very overtuned, not too different to the beta where he was already very very very strong. I've played fighting games since SF3 and it feels like I can do virtually anything I want with this character and not get punished. Some struggle is disjoints and I have what, 4 projectiles..?
I do notice some things being slower - movement and the pie in particular - but the up air is still really really really good and has let me get ToDs at like 65dmg.
I imagine that a lot of play is unoptimised at the minute, but I do think watching Bugs will be important for the future.
It is absolutely the most important thing for the game to have an offline mode so the game will be playable forever, not just when the game is supported. If it's always online and Warner Bros decides they're pulling the plug and drop support of the game, the game will be forever unplayable (unless someone leaks illicit server software) when the servers go offline. To be frank with how most live service games go nowadays, I'm just going to assume that this will eventually happen to all live service games, so I never put money into any of them. Warner Bros is notorious for pulling the plug on things prematurely.
I hope Player First Games listens to everyone's criticism, but especially this one, since it'll assure the game is preserved forever. (also being able to host games online via p2p would be nice, but offline mode is more important)

Rifts are absolutely horrible. The idea that we're expected to complete all of the difficulty levels on these things to unlock the Matrix skins in that event is really nuts. The jump in difficulty on crushing makes it feel like you either need to buy gem levels or convince a friend to endure the pain with you. Would be fine if you hadn't tied SO MANY unlocks to this system. Really really needs a rework.

having so much fun with the new style and engine, but there are some balancing and optimization issues going on. while the game is awesome and theres very little to complain about beside my nearly half a million perk points… some characters remain unfair, even in the more grounded slow platformer style you guys have reworked it to, and the performance on not new gen hardware is atrocious at best, especially in moving stages like dexters labratory. thank you for making a beautiful game and i hope yall can fix the kinks, while continuing to add fun content like mutators, modes and characters 🫡💜

bots used to work in beta. But going into "pvp" now and getting a bot is so painfully easy. You can just spam up punch while they're falling and they'll do nothing

How come I can't pay for fighters when I still have tickets from my Founder's Pack? I want to be able to use whatever currency I want to get certain characters using Gleamium/points and save tickets for others who I want immediately. Also for one fighter we have to pay $10? a bunch of internet issues (most commonly resulting in kicking you out of matches), quests frequently not working at all, poor and too grindy of a progression system to bother continuing, not being able to play characters in training anymore to try them out, and a lot more
in 2v2s sometimes you litteraly cannot see your character because your far away from the other 3 players the camera litteraly doesnt include you in it. had someone knock me offstage to the left and i ended up flying myself all the way to the right boarder and ringing myself out because i was litteraly off the screen lmao
hope the game gets fixed and the progression (of the battle pass for example) is made more rewarding and easier

**The game is the complete opposite of fluid. I played the old version for hours before upgrading to the current version. The current version of Multiversus is so slow and limited that my brain became synchronized with it, and when I went to stretch my hand to get my coffee cup the feeling was that my arm wouldn't be able to make the necessary movement of stretching and pick up the glass. It's like trying to run in a dream, it's like trying to fight in a dream. All the effort and technique applied to a regrettable result.
It's not simply a game in slow motion, it's dead characters executing cold commands. You think several times before making a move and after the move ends you regret it and feel happy that it is over. Winning has a feeling of defeat, and defeats match perfectly with the feeling of playing the new gameplay

A big issue right now is, multiversus is asking us for a commitment to the game, to earn future skins, characters and so on, but the game is only 2v2, well i wanna play with my friends, so this sucks and i cant do anything, i'm gonna boot up fortnite again, you see the issue here?
even brawlhalla has 4v4, thats what these fighting games are at their best at, creating chaos for your friends to enjoy, and forget about the skillful side of it, 2v2s encourage competitive play

game feedback is it's okay, crashed once, but main issue is with rifts, levels shouldn't be locked behind a skin, agent progress feels too slow, tickets shouldn't be only option if you have them, and currencies are gained way too slow
also another thing that would be appretiated is the abilty to split the keyboard and joystick on local play

I fully understand it's an online game and they have to make money somehow, but the way PFG did it is quite torturous. Before, you would earn coins as you played online, your battle pass level would increase slowly but it still increased. Now, you can only earn coins by playing Fendas (and let's be honest, it's peanuts), and you can only level up the pass with daily missions. So, if you finish them all in 10 minutes, it doesn't matter if you play for 6 hours, you won't increase anything to level up the battle pass. Please improve this. I'm not talking about leveling up character levels, but the battle pass level a bit faster.

I really don't understand the rebalancing of the game. Bruisers are faster than assassins? And are harder to ring out. There's almost no one playing assassins now because bruises are busted.
Also they nerfed velma so hard not a single player plays he any more. And I've been playing 2 days straight now.

Some rift feedback, and some things the game doesn't explain properly:
- Having the gems locked to certain fights is unfun, and swapping between them is a pain. Either let us mix and match at will (more fun) or at least save our gem loadout for each fight type so we don't need to set it up so often (less tedious).
- Locking higher difficulties, and further nerfing us if our gem level is too low on Crushing+, is the laziest way to force grinding/spending. The first two difficulties are insultingly easy but I'm not even allowed to punch up?
- Requiring co-op play for 100% on every mission is pretty awful.
- Why do I often (but not always) get a gem crate from beating missions? I get them from non-daily missions, so it's not that. It doesn't seem to be tied to how many objectives I got for that fight, or my total objectives for that rift. Is it random? Can I get one again for the same mission?
- What are the question marks at the bottom right of the rift UI? I've hit the thresholds and didn't notice receiving anything. If they give gem crates, that's not clear (as above, I seem to get gem crates at random, so it's not clear what they're from).
- I've heard that there's something called a Rift Cauldron from completing a rift. What is that? Is it just for the mission progress, or does it have another purpose? I only know about them from outside of the game, the only mention I see in game is the mission telling you to get one.
- Why do most (but not all) of my completed missions have the ↩️ symbol? I've replayed missions that have this icon, and missions that don't, and didn't get anything so I have no idea. It doesn't seem to be related to objective completion.
Really enjoying this game but there are some things I'd change. I'll focus on one thing tho:
Please make an option in the settings that disables bots in regular 2v2 queue. I'd rather get destroyed regularly by real players than dominate bots repeatedly

HE HITS ME 3 TIMES AND ENDS MY LIFE, BANNANA GUARD SPAMS SIDE SPECIAL, I GO FLYING OFF THE MAP, this may all be rooted in the fact that i main tom and jerry, its so damn light, every character TOSSES ME OFF THE STAGE, WHY CAN BATMAN SPAM THE UPPERCUT AND KILL ME AT 20 DMG? THE COMBAT IS SLOW AS HELL, IF IM IN A JERRY ROCKET AND THE ENEMY DODGES IT, LET ME GET OUT, now the enemy is staring in my sould about to hit me with an infinite combo because i used that move, the hitbox is so damn awful, im hitting this man in the face multiple times, its mainly seen with the harley attack, i dont main harley but i see it alot, the weapon goes straight through me and i wonder, damn. what have these dumb devs been doing for the past 2 years, if your gonna shut the game down atleast make it so the HITBOXES ARE FIXED, THE MAIN REASON THE ACTUAL PLAYERS LEFT THE GAME. but i guess theyre too busy adding 2 characters in 2 years, guess their too busy making characters clearly too op, for what reason would i die in the first 10 seconds of the game, no combo just straight up attacks, WHO CREATED THIS PERK SYSTEM, LET ME CHOOSE MY OWN DAMN PERK FOR THE CHARACTER I OWN

The Open Beta was a lot more better.
Honestly the only change they should have done was nerf the dodge (the capacity not the speed). Now the game feels clunkier mainly due to the input lag of attacks.
It also feels harder to combo attacks and the game turns into a waiting match to see who tries to attack so they can easily be punished. I also miss the icon telling you what is an armour attack cause so many characters have no more armour moves and it's hard to tell when fighting what is an armour move or not. If most characters don't have an armour attack anymore then take them all away cause superman now feels extremely broke since none of his armour attacks are gone.
The new way to select characters SUCKS. Having to lock in a character before fighting feels so tedious and ruins some games for me. I start a game fighting someone and end the round then wish that I can change characters to play with the same person, but I can't and instead need to leave to the menu to pick a new character, hence the tedious nature of it now. I miss as well the old select screen where you heard the announcer asking you to select your character. I think as well that the scoreboard showing the results at the end being gone makes playing the game feels pointless as I'm not sure how well I or my teammate did to see if we're getting better or worse (I REALLY MISS SEEING THOSE STATS).
The rematch system sucks (besides the character select now missing) you get to endlessly rematch someone nonstop making you feel as though you didn't win the match but that you were having a spar with someone. A nitpick that I have is the beautiful art for the characters portraits is now gone as well which is sad to see.
Finally I just wanted to clarify that the game in Open Beta felt great and makes me miss it. I spent money on the game in Open Beta loving it, but now this feels like a husk. I poured 300hrs in the Beta having a blast but now I feel bored and frustrated playing it. I hope it gets fixed

The battlepass when you first released the Beta was pretty alright, the first 2 or 3. Those were manageable by just playing normally.
I remember you did something to the grinding after that that made the battlepasses HORRIBLE. I remember I really REALLY wanted the Meistro skin for Tom and Jerry but grinding for it was excruciating. I am feeling that right now the battlepasses still feel that way it did with that Meistro skin.
You really need to consider how much time an average person has to play video games every day. VERY few people have the patience to play the same game more than 2 hours every day for months at a time. A lot of people have jobs.
Too much grinding isn't going to help you with player retention, it's going to make people feel that playing is more work than it is fun, and eventually like me and that Meistro skin I really wanted they will give up on the game because they feel that the level of grinding to get that far just isn't worth the effort anymore.
Also win PvP matches as missions are really a no-no
there NEEDS to be a restart feature for the rift missions. if you know your gonna lose a game you just have to play it out, and then wait 10 seconds to spam a or x to get back into the game to try again,

for somereason they are detecive in their things but when i go into the rifts and choose velma for one that says win the match with a detective, the detective lable is gone from velma 😭
I didn't use Velma for the rift because I just thought it wouldn't count but good to know it does

Career bonuses should be much more prominent! It seems like Battlepass XP/Levels have felt sluggish and grindy for everyone, especially because you can't earn more just by playing. On the other hand, you can always get account level XP - but the reward track isn't shown, just the next level, and it's tucked away in the Career page all the way at the end. There don't seem to be any strong indicators to go and check it out either! I only found it after I went digging around for anything else I could do after I finished my daily missions.
If account levels were advertised more to players, or if account progress was made clearer, it might help the slower Battlepass grind not feel so bad - though I would also agree that the battlepass should definitely be updated so that we can earn XP for that too, outside of missions.
Can we make it that if the game detects you crash during a session it doesn’t enforce a matchmaking cooldown?

Since I’m seeing so much hate, toxicity, and negativity in the community and the reviews, I’m gonna play a bit of “devils advocate” here. After all these devs have spent countless hours on this and it should be appreciated as such.
Mayhaps I’m just complete trash at fighting games, but the across the board slowdown of Multiversus’ movement and gameplay? Supposedly in an effort to level the playing field and make 2v2s, the intended main mode, be easier to make sense of? It kind of rules. This game has always been a fun take on platform fighters but the slowdown they did for release kind of enables my dusty brain to actually make sense of these Mechanics and cooldown meters beyond just randomly mashing.
Finn, Jake, Jason Vorheez, Taz, Stripe, and Iron Giant are some of the most fun fighting game characters I’ve ever played. Every hit just feels so hard and crunchy like a complete power trip. If the game was running any faster this would probably be downright unmanageable to me.
If your goal was to create a fun game for the most people Player First Games? In my opinion you have succeeded, and I support you for it. For the hurt competitive players, those who like Melee or what have you, perhaps we could seek a middle ground or a compromise. Maybe introduce a specific mode with the old game speed for those with the flames of competition burning in their veins. As for me I just want to play and have fun, and the game has been accomplishing that for me. Thanks Player First Games!
MVS team, after playing for almost 12 hours day one and with over 500 hours in the beta I gotta correct myself. Earlier I said the game feels slow and clunky, and it’s true it feels a little clunky. But I do quite like the pace of the movement, it’s slowed with intention, it feels like you have to think before doing now instead of dodging in and throwing random attacks. I think think being able to cancel into moves would be a really great change, but in terms of bringing back the old movement I’d like to change my stance. Keep the movement, maybe make cancelling moves a little more fluid? Lebron was like butter before, feels clunky now but maybe I just need to label more. Overall, I’m really glad it’s back, I met one of my best friends through brawlhalla and we bonded over multi, playing it basically every day in the beta. The re-release has reignited us and we’re back in full swing so I thank you for that MVS team you the real MVPs! (Still upset I didn’t get in early with more than 500 hours on your game 😭)
Please bring back the 2D art on the character select screen.

Maybe it’s because I played the beta so I’m just not used to this slower speed but I do feel it needs to be quicker maybe not as fast as beta but sometimes it feels like moves are in slow motion. One of the things I found interesting initially was how different the gameplay felt to other platform fighters, It was very chaotic but in a good way which made 2v2 games v enjoyable especially when you got better and actually knew what you were doing. So I hope in the future the game can have a faster pace because rn sometimes I genuinely cannot tell if I’m lagging, there’s terrible input delay or if it’s just the game being slow af
Alright in all seriousness I literally have no clue why they were even replaced. They feel so much more lively compared to the basic in game poses not to mention the art was beautiful
Also bring back the dmg and elim stats after a game ends

**- Everyone said this already but the game does feel slow
- Xbox has so many bugs it’s crazy
• Half the attack sounds are gone
• Fps drops
• Low quality assets - Camera’s zoomed way too close
- Go back to 2d icons or turn up the saturation on the 3d icons
- The announcers are bugged: they’ll randomly say “great job blue team” despite nothing happening**
So when you do the fighter progression which you can see after matches on the right, you do not gain any rewards for them (I was supposed to gain 1500 fighter crystals which would’ve given me enough for joker but upon completion I was left empty handed)
The game being very floaty ruins it because it makes the matches very air focused, some characters are unplayable because certain characters can juat juggle em.
Its way too punishing to play jason because all of his specials have VERY LONG endlag for seemingly no reason, and he isnt really a tank he'a more of a bruiser, his Nspecial just isnt worth using.
Dash attacks get in the way some of the time, sure its a good way to attack but it just doesnt work well and really throws me off since in the beta it was just side attack.
Every character from the beta is faster than the newer characters (besides joker I think).
Banana guard is a good joke character but some of the hitboxes on Uspecial and Side special feel too big.
Bugs has a weird glitch with the safe that can just instakill.
And once again, the characters just feel too big, and the camera is just TOO zoomed in.
Also dexters lab sucks so bad oh my god
Dexter's Lab is tempting me to uninstall. Please give us a way to play matchmaking without hazards

Seriously the game on xbox is just unplayable, i HAVE to close and reopen the game because it constantly freezes, and on top of that, i get punished for it by not being able to matchmake
Nah it really does feel like that. Even in the offline modes I'm constantly having to restart the game due to it freezing. It straight up doesn't feel responsive at times too
Pretty sure this has been mentioned to death already, but I'm really not a fan of how the FAQ outright lied about everything being carried over from the beta - specifically all the gold we have saved up hoping to spend on characters in the future. It really should all just be converted to Fighter Currency, as it has the same effect. In its current state, you're hurting the people most likely to come back and keep playing, which seems counterproductive to both growing the game and selling cosmetics.
There's also a distinct lack of offline play. You're specifically alienating in-person group gatherings, meaning there's no real way for people to show off the game to their friends, meaning less word of mouth and less people playing. I'd love to bring my steam deck somewhere, but good wifi sources can be hard to come by.
Yeah I've played 3 online matches in a row now where I've froze either in the middle of the game or as the match was ending. How is anybody supposed to play like that?

I hope something can be done about it. The beta worked perfectly fine on my Xbox. So I don't understand why it shouldn't be able to now. It's extremely saddening, as I was looking forward to hopping into online play tonight after grinding out the ability for custom perks for my two primary characters
But there is no way I can deal with that kind of freezing all night.
In some audio languages, like Latin American, some character's voices don't have that deep audio effect, like Iron Giant's or Joker's Batman who Laughs outfit, compared to how they are in the original english audio.
I know Iron Giant eventually got it later during the Beta, but not in the relaunch seems odd.
All Problems on Xbox
- Game has low fps
- Game has very frequent frame drops
- Game has frequent freezes
- Game crashes often
- Game disconnects very frequently
- Game desynchronizesvery frequently
- Models very buggy, this includes but not limited to, characters features being blurred, characters being greyed out, sticker emotes at low quality, emotes at low quality and off centered (ex. Jake is completely grey instead of yellow sometimes)
- Rifts sometimes doesn't work when playing with a friend
Also, we are regularly losing matches because of this. Please fix immediately.
