The reason why the fatalities didn't work for MK VS DC is because the game was, for all intents and purposes, a Mortal Kombat game, and as such, people desired fatalities, and then compained as those fatalities were bad. Obviously, no one is going to expect those in a game like Injustice or Multiversus, so why would they feel like a requirement? Plenty of characters from violent media appear in crossovers without any violent content, such as Arya and Harley for this game.

Yeah, some of the characters were more difficult than others to get looking ok and required a lot of tweaking. Arya, Bugs and Wonder Women were by far the most difficult to do. I tried to do Jerry similar to Tom but it kept coming out even weirder than the final thing so went with a more simplified look.
